I'd like to see HBO throw their weight around more.  If they think that cable providers and other MSOs are going to drop HBO from their lineup because they offer a digital-only option, I think they're mistaken.  Any major provider that didn't offer HBO would see a mass exodus to a competing service well beyond anything they've experienced with a regional sports network or any of the other minor networks they've been bullying for years.  Times are changing and, while the digital-only market for HBO is comparatively small now, it's growing every day and other gatekeepers of digital content, like Apple and Microsoft, might be able to market their content just as well or better than the cable companies have.
