@TonyConrad would be great to see about.me set up open federated one to many messaging much like tantek has done with falcon at tantek.org ... lets get on with the web being infrastructure for open messaging and take the twitter training wheels off. Perhaps AOL could help much in the same way it was routed around with email and AIM ...

Great stuff Jeremy. Thanks for sharing, we've seen a rise in multi-sided market places starting with Ebay (or craigslist), then Etsy, and on to the dozens of other marketplace companies. Autotrader.com is about to file its IPO ( http://bit.ly/Kt6RaU ) on the heels of reporting 1.1 billion in sales - and Pinterest (previously mentioned) is rumoured to be valued around 2B ... Are marketplaces, and in innovation in marketplaces by companies like Balanced ( http://bit.ly/LpOzxk ) part of the future of the next wave of innovation in ecommerce?
