@Melissa808 @MyongChoi I agree with Myong on Char Hung Sut being overrated.  I always end up with a pile of bun that I end up throwing away. I'm a big fan of Aiea Manapua and Snacks (not my #1) but definitely one of my top 5.

@vickie c China has a lot of problems in the public health sector- I've watched these guys work and they are very conscious about their sanitary standards. They have a green placard and they use gloves. Kekaulike Marketplace where they're located is air conditioned, a rarity in our Chinatown.

Go take a look at if it doesn't feel right, you can always go somewhere else.

@CAPSUN My Sonata is fun to drive and gets great mileage.  Super reliable thus far (2 years) and the 13,000 miles/year that I put on my cars is a good gauge ^_^

2 months, 3 weeks ago on My little auto adventure: Hyundai Elantra

I have a Sonata and it's reliable and has good gas mileage for how much I come in and out of town. Getting the nicer features are a must considering how much time we both spend in our cars.

Maintenance on the Hyundai is really cheap in comparison t
o other cars in it's priceline from other companies. I'd say it's equivalent to the Honda we have. Definitely cheaper than an VW/any other Euro brands.

I'd say my second hand Sonata was in your price range, low miles, 1 owner.

@Annoddah_Dave Zippy's has the nostalgia value.  I actually like the Kokua Pac but they just discontinued that.  Not sure why, it was fantastic.

Sugoi is a staple for when I'm starving and can eat a horse.  It really is enough for 2 meals.  Plus the mochiko is really good.

Those that live in town have different picks for sure- I don't think many people have been to K's or had one, but it's a hidden gem in my book.
