@DavidPratte @Lowie_64 Yeah, that's our buddy Ning Nong's. Super cool guy, I love his car! He's moving back to Thailand and taking the car with him. Going to miss seeing it around.

@DavidPratte @Lowie_64 Haha I know Max. He's a great guy, I'd love to get my hands on his Z! Yeah, a proper race track would be pretty awesome here. We just got a paved oval track here last year, haha. They have a lot of land so maybe they'll have some sort of road course out there at some point. People generally think that we don't have a rich car community here, but some of the cars here surprise even me from time to time.
@DavidPratte @Lowie_64 It was one of the cleanest looking cars I've seen at Targa in a while. I managed to grab a few shots of it down at the harbor front. Not as good as the pictures in this article though! Between your FRS and the Targa Truck, it brought back interest into Targa. I found after the exotics came down in 2011, the excitement for Targa died down quite a bit. Then we heard about the truck, and then the clips featuring the build up of the FRS and it got a lot of local car guys interested in it again. Glad you guys had a fun time, and I'd love to see that clip with the M3!
Finally some Targa NL coverage on here. Quite a few Newfoundlanders read this site frequently. Got the chance to drool over this (and others) at the start. Beautiful FRS.
@miksfield @mbretschneider Glad to see others supporting the Targa themes. I've been attending Targa Newfoundland for as long as it's been going on. Always cool stuff on the go there, would love to see SH cover it.

I'd love to see Speedhunters cover the annual Targa Newfoundland rally. There has been some epic machinery here before. Group B Quattro, Edo Comp tuned Enzo, MC12, LP640 & F430, old Mustangs, Supras, etc... There's a bit of stuff for everybody.
I say do the swap for the wagon, and turn the Supra into a cheapish drift missile/autocross car with a cheap junkyard motor.

@koko san @Lowie_64 @riske86 Yeah, it's a new form of an age old modification, haha. Yeah, that's true. Personally, I'm a fan of stance (as long as it looks good) and in this case I think it looks good.
1 year, 5 months ago on Wait, That’s A Miata? Pit Crew Style
@koko san @riske86 Stance is a trend? It's not a trend. It's just a new form of what's been around for a while. Look at the early hot rodders. They would lower their cars because they thought it looked better then the stock ride heights. It's nothing new.
@FunctionFirst @albo13 Lucky you! Here in Newfoundland, Canada an Evo X all said and done will run you about 45-50K. STI's aren't much better... Atleast the FRS doesn't have the crazy mark up...

@Ali Uygur Super clean Mustang! Think I've seen a stance facebook page post a picture of it. Love what you did.

That red F355 looks like a Challenge one, or atleast a damn good replica.

@brynmusselwhite He's probably just a tad bit jealous that he doesn't own a Lotus. That's all ;)

Beautiful and perfect in every way.
Huge show with thousands of other people all gawking at the same cars. It's bound to be hard to get a "clean" shot. I think Sean did a good job given how many people could have been around.

@BlackJacket I'm sure he really had a choice on who buys the products his business makes.

@d15b2 More to the car scene then just the cars. Sometimes you just have to talk to people in the industry.

@MCCLIFTED Legacy's are fun though! This article makes me wish my 92 Legacy turbo was finished... but it's a long road ahead. =)

@NicholasEsposito @BlackJacket I remember watching the build on Hot Rod TV. He's got a couple bitchin classics.
@PERTANO Maybe they've saved showing it because they plan to do a spotlight on it, or maybe in other footage?

I remember when I first seen a Typhoon. I thought it was just some stickers on a Jimmy. Then I heard the blow off valve and seen all four tires just light up. This truck is simply badass.

Those Legacy's. Hopefully my 92 turbo can look as good as those eventually!

But I also got to add, given the choice, I'd go legit.
2 years, 7 months ago on Poll: Knockoffs & Replicas Vs. The Real Deal
I'm not against either, but if you buy replicas, don't buy stickers and pass them off as the real thing. You look like a fucking tool then.
A lot of those cars look better then my project car (92 legacy turbo), but I got mine on the cheap and am saving it from seeing the junkyard... I just hope the frame isn't rusted to death.

@inspector_exacto Because Gran Turismo is all R35 GT-R's. :p

@speedhunters_dino I also think in this photo I see some stretch on the Cyber Evo. http://photos.motoiq.com/MotoIQ/Tech/The-Ultimate-Guide-To/Streached-tire-1/757760977_pDTTN-O.jpg
2 years, 8 months ago on Style Meets Performance: The Check Shop Gt3 Rs
@speedhunters_dino if I remember reading correctly, the Cyber Evo (before the change) actually a slight stretch going on.
@JDMized @speedhunters_dino If Dino's work is mediocre, how come you're not working for EA on the Speedhunters team then? =)
and yet some of the fastest time attack cars in the world run slightly stretched tires...
@Lastspark Overused, but oh so sexy. They're the BBS RS wheels of the American car scene.

@speedhunters_dino @KietaPhillips Unless it's the ridgeline or Element. those two can be AWD all they want. Honda really needs to bring back a true NSX, and an S2000. Maybe with the new FRS/86/BRZ on sale, they'll look at their lineup and realize they're missing something like it too.
2 years, 9 months ago on The Cr-z Goes Racing
@KietaPhillips @speedhunters_dino RWD I'd say.. an AWD Honda just doesn't seem right in my eyes. (thats why I dislike the new NSX. That and it's a godawful hybrid)
@speedhunters_dino I agree. The CR-Z is a very beautiful machine.. dare I say, one of the most beautiful designs from there in quite some time (for an OEM car), but the powerplant is very lacking. If I ever get my hands on one, the motor will be ripped out on day one, and it'd be converted to RWD very quickly.
One of the better looking GT300 cars I've seen in a while. Wonder how long it takes before somebody makes a replica version of the kit for the streets.
Beautiful. Has to be the perfect Porsche.
