@jessedwilloughbyHardly a "rant"! A solid perspective, although skewed (IMO) by the
consideration that all companies should be like Apple - or have those
kinds of budgets. I can really appreciate your point of view - in fact
I held stubbornly on to such ideas for a long time. I have come to
learn that people enjoy this type of interaction online and the
"intrigue" provides a venue of natural stickiness.
everything. If you've ever been involved in a major product release as a
small company, you know the kind of stress and pressure these guys are
under at the moment. Just relax, enjoy the show and get to know some
people - the product will be great!

@petenaotg Good choice. No need to stir things up. Pagelines' work stands apart and speaks for itself. No need to fan the flames of contention. Every industry has to have a leader and a maverick. It is not surprising that people feel threatened by a template builder/manager for WordPress as many make a living off that sort of thing. But, if they understood the concept in its fullest, they would consider it an advantage (as it truly will be for all who use it)
@longe630 True! True! I've been building sites since 1995 and this industry has always been "if you're sick for a week, you might as well get a new career" type of thing. I love that PageLines keeps adding the newest and greatest tech to keep us on our toes :)

@Tang@clixbits - Totally dig the morphic fields reference! Showing anyone anything proprietary (particularly in the OpenSource community - of which we are all a part as we play together in the WordPress sandbox) is a bad idea without a carefully crafted NDA (non-disclosure agreement)... That's the real answer.
LOL! Nice exchange. However, I assure you Andrew that (as
an active WPMU member since 2010 and an avid PageLines
fanatic/developer) you have absolutely nothing to worry about. You are
light years ahead of WPMU in terms of functionality, quality, design and
standards of coding. They will never catch up (in my opinion).
get me wrong, many of the products that WPMU offers can't be found
anywhere else and they have a great community. Nonetheless, it is
obvious that 95% of what they offer are stripped-down, often
buggy tools and templates that they previously developed for Edublogs.
You guys on the other hand are the "real deal" with your silicone valley
swank and all :)
Tom and Justin send our prayers for our Team Mate and Legend Club member Tonya and wish her all the best. You already know I will help you with any marketing you need done Tonya, and the best full recovery you can dream of is on the way :)

@GrantBarrett Worth every penny! I can assure you of that (from experience)! I've been a web developer since 1995 and using WordPress for over three years. What PageLines offers is simply unmatched by a wide margin. And, they keep on expanding options, libraries and support. You cannot loose with this subscription!
