You didn't manage to get an image of Giovanardi, on the loop, sideways, with the front wheels lit up, in the damp, trying to bring the car back around? i was sat on the edge of my seat, as the drives missed him by millimeters (only in the BTCC you see this, and at most race weekends). It would make such a great desktop!

@Jonathan Moore @roeby That said, which are the faster cars? Also, what engines were the super tours running?

These cars are a little before me, Are they, and the racing better than today's new NGTC rules? I am really loving the BTCC at the minute.

What's with the wheels/tyres on the matt green Audi A6 Avant? Not sure if I like it, but it's certainly different.

I think hes 1 of these people you either " love to hate" or "hate to love". but he deserves applauding for such a milestone.
I cant believe Red Bull got a fine for the doughnuts though! i couldn't see that happening in MotoGP.

OK, so its not n the same league as any of these really, but i have a 2002 Skoda Octavia estate 1.8 20v turbo 4X4. its enough to embarrass most of the the cars we see daily on the streets here, especially off the lights when the 2 lanes go into 1. it always leaves me with a grin on my face.

TV just does not do this sport justice. In your last shot, i had no idea Eau Rouge swung that far round to the right. And the shot of the Merc from the top of Eau rouge really gives an idea of how steep it is. I am also glad Speedhunters covers events in a non traditional way too. Its a great alternative insight.

Its a shame this era of racing had to end. I will most likely never get to see these things get properly thashed around a track. Is todays equivalent the Audi R18 e-tron? And what where the red & yellow flexi hose's hanging off the back for?

Dont see many (by many, i mean any) car garages like that in the uk. And that 'something German' BMW rocked it for me, and normally i think they look awful in that colour.

I couldnt seem to take my eyes off the race this year, i've never been to bothered before. Must be the challenge of the Toyota's. Still not as entertaining as the BTCC today though.

@KeithCharvonia Just goes to show that the unthinkable really does happen, and still today. Only at the weekend a guy lost his life at Donnington park after his mini crashed into a mustang that had spun out, he succumbed to his injurys apparently! Sad to think that still today these things happen.

No garage is complete with out a big hammer, and no job can be done properly with out the aid of said hammer (a-la Jeremy Clarkson style). However the Donnington GP was weeks ago, how come there was no coverage on here, or was this more of the behind the scene style post. Nether the less, great insight into the workings of a pro team. BTW, the desktop of just the hand and spanners is great, nice shot.
