@The Finn, Agent of SPECTRE @HeyProfessor If the Doctor never went to Skaro, the Time Lords wouldn't have been aware of the Daleks.

If the Doctor never left Gallifrey, the Time War wouldn't even exist. The Doctor caused it!

@Malohkeh, not a member of any acronyms @Typo42 "Magic Carrots" @The Finn, Agent of SPECTRE @AmyPondIsAwesome Missy could just be a stolen body, hence why the Doctor didn't recognize her/him.
We haven't actually meet the Corsair, and the Doctor could have been joking.

2 days, 4 hours ago on Little Boxes Will Make You Angry: Doctor Who and Transphobia
@TheOncomingHurricane @HeyProfessor i don't see how his remarks (which are actually remarks of the character and not the writer) are harmful. i could write a trans-phobic character, a homophobic character or a racist character, it doesn't make me any of those things.
And I must apologise for my first arguement, I have dyslexia, I must have misread and mixed some words around.
No, I wouldn't say the same thing about a black person, and know someone has actually read the article to me, I wouldn't say it about the trans community.
As a black person myself, if a writer wrote a self-loathing black person because he is black, as long as he showed that as a bad thing, I wouldn't find it racist, but if the writer showed it as good thing that said black person's self-loathing is good, I would find it racist.
I hope that answers your questions, and again, I'm sorry about the first argument!

@LaraHarris @HeyProfessor Oh, well, now I know, thanks!
@TheOncomingHurricane @morn "It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm
rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's
actually nothing more than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has
no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a
phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so f***ing what." - Stephen Fry.
@LaraHarris RTD wrote it to get people to be aware of it, so they would understand it's offensive.

This article is full of ad hominem attacks.
Now, I'm very much on the side of "It's art" with TV, Games and so forth. I don't think we (or anyone other than the artist) should dictate what his/her medium should be like.
Now, as a member of the LGTBQ community, I personally want to be represented, but do I understand calling the artist an "arse" when they do represent you, won't want them to even attempt to represent you again. Studies have shown that animals can be gay, lesbian and straight, so them being transgender, especially in a fictional universe is not impossible.
But the artist is not required to represent anyone, so be glad they do and avoid calling them an "arse".
Great choices, apart from the Master!

@Typo42 "Magic Carrots" @HeyProfessor I think we both missed the point slightly, the Doctor wouldn't kill the Master because Gallifrey was gone, but perhaps now it's hidden someway, he doesn't care about the Master.
4 days ago on Is Twelve Really So Different to Previous Doctors?
@Ocean Geek I never said the Doctor ordered Clara to kill the Master, I said Clara ordered the Doctor to! Perhaps you should actually read things before you reply to them.
@Russell T DaftDalek "Developing the Doctor in just one season is a first for the show" Russell T. DaftDalek, are we forgetting Ears?
4 days, 12 hours ago on Is Twelve Really So Different to Previous Doctors?
The thing is, I don't think the Doctor would EVER kill the Master, not even Dark!Ten would kill him, he'd tell him to get out of the way!
So why did 12 actually allow Clara to order him to kill her/him? And not tell her that if he or she did that, they would be as bad as her/him?
@AlessandroArsuffi @Americanwhovian @Doc Brown Because he's not Spock.

I don't see the point of the War Doctor (other than Moffat wanted to make Eleven the last Doctor), Moffat's whole reasoning makes no sense what-so-ever, "Because Eight wouldn't destroy Gallifrey" and it appears that War wouldn't either! So what exactly is the point of him? Moffat's whole reasoning for him is invalid.

@The Finn, Agent of SPECTRE @HeyProfessor But the point is, he'd want to use Paul McGann as the War Doctor, because that's who was in his mind when coming up with the idea.
1 week, 5 days ago on Russell T Davies Interested in Writing A Doctor Who Movie
@The Finn, Agent of SPECTRE @HeyProfessor As did RTD in "TEOT"
@JamesConnolly If that's what the BBC want, then RTD will refuse to write it.
Or, do a Time War movie featuring Paul McGann, a "what if RTD wrote" Day of the Doctor type thing?
As revealed in "The Writer's Tale", if RTD wrote a Movie, it would be about the Time War. But that would be pointless, because Moffat beat him to it.
@Malohkeh @ Notsosmartguy That's the thing, they aren't sane (TV: The End of Time)
1 week, 5 days ago on Speculating on Series 9’s Big Cliffhanger (Part 1)
@supermoff @HeyProfessor But that would be unfair to the incoming showrunner, I don't think it's the best idea to bring something massive back on your last episode.
And the sorta implies the incoming showrunner needs help.
They were going to reboot the series, apparently, which doesn't make sense, since they called the Eighth Doctor the "Eighth incarnation" in the TVM.
Oh, please, the Time Lords would be hypocrites if they put him on trial for that!
@The Lazy Cat is in a Hugging Mood I'm fed up of those kind of things. Can't someone just be a normal human, why do they have to be a riddle wrapped in a mystery nowadays?
@TheCyberDoctor @Malohkeh Surely it would be "We understand you originally blew us up"
@TheCyberDoctor @Malohkeh If I were showrunner, and brought back Gallifrey, I'd have the Time War still raging on, the High Council still preparing to blow up the universe, and the Doctor is put on trial.
The Doctor didn't stop the destruction of Gallifrey, he only delayed it.
That's what I would do.
Not "supposed" no, his actual brother.
@TheCyberDoctor @Malohkeh "Yeah, and if you find me guilty I'll be sure to do that"
I don't want Gallifrey to come back in Moffat's era, let another showrunner being back Gallifrey and do whatever he/she wants to do with it.
But if Gallifrey comes back, I'd don't want a "Rassilon's dead, and the Time Lords are fine" explanation, I want Ten's line from the End of Time Part 2 expanded, he said the Time Lords went insane.
Plus surely there would be Daleks on the surface.
@A Friend of the Ood @HeyProfessor Yeah, It sounded better in my head, I typed out something completely different to what I was meant to say, but anyway....
Don't be rude.

I can't lie, when I watched the End of Time Part 2 when it aired, and old chinny came up, I hated him, I literally yelled at the screen "You're not the Doctor, the real Doctor is dead", and all because of the line the Doctor said at the cafe, but now I'm far older and wiser than I was in 2010, but I still have a strong dislike for 11, and I think it's because of that line. And because he acted like a baby all his life.
Now, looking back, I wouldn't have reacted that way, but I still love that line, I still think it's a perfect way to look at regeneration, because it does make sense. If you compare 10 and 11 together, they are completely different people, same with Three and Four, Four and Five, etc. They act different, they have different morals. Some even hate their previous or future self.
It does make sense, and I love that line.

@stargazer0118 @HeyProfessor Do you mean me?
@Hirmien He was about 900 when he was born, and he died at 906 (near his 907th birthday, according to Series 5) He lived for 6 years, half of that alone.
@stargazer0118 @AlessandroArsuffi I thought Eleven had more vanity issues than Ten, I'm not Ten fanboy or anything, I like the Third Doctor more that both of them.
