I like cars and photography.
Damn man, you missed out on C&C Irvine. I know you know all about it, but even from this story I've seen the 906 and the Martini 911 there in years past, not to mention a VW Bus with three or four 917 doors inside. I just wish I lived in LA to be around cars like this more often.

I have to say the 350Z because it totally changed my mind about the 350Z.

There's a guy that shows up to monthly car show here with a 1912 Overland. He showed up with it in February and I'm sure he'll be there for the show this weekend. But the reason I like it, is because I'm in Michigan and the show in February was around 20 degrees. But he still had to bring it out!

Our Autorama has a massive section for toys, which I know you're weak to, like me. It's 70% of the reason we go every year. Because driving to Detroit in February or March isn't usually a normal thing. Seeing the words Autorama and sunny clear weather don't go together in my head. But I still can't wait to get there in a couple weeks!

This story was so long.
But it still wasn't long enough. I can never get enough of Japanese culture. And while Dino does an amazing job, I don't think it'll ever fully be covered. That blows my mind. And then there's Europe, and England, US, even Mexico has some amazing stuff. Cars are awesome, I guess that's where I was going.

Huh, you put Detroit in a totally different spotlight than what I've seen before. But if you really want to see the car culture here, come back in the summer. I promise you will not be disappointed. Between secret car shows, epic car shows, tiny race tracks (one has a shooting range on the same property,) and the massive pop up cruises every Friday and Saturday night on Woodward, it's a totally different place.
And Detroit reminds you of London? While I never would of thought that myself, I can kind of see where you're coming from on that. And if you guys decide to build a Speedhunters HQ here, I'll take care of it!

I'm not sure how popular they are in California at the minute, but here in Michigan you'd think they were given out to all the states residents. We've had a couple decent snow storms dropping a few inches, and every time I'll see at least one or two of them out. Not to mention all the ones I saw last January in camo. I do like their looks though, the rear end really does something for me that other Mustangs haven't. And having just seen the GT350 at the Auto Show, I can't really knock this generation.

Huh, I always wondered where it is shame it's a private car park, but oh well. It's cool to finally see inside, the all the commercials don't really go into detail. And the freestyle video with Eminem was only in one place.
And welcome back to Michigan, you seem to be coming here often.
That V10 powered Mustang was here in Detroit last year at Autorama. I thought it was a Celica at first from behind. Awesome looking car.

I went to Barrett Jackson in Orange County a few years ago. Not what I expected at all. It was a circus of auto related stuff everywhere and awesome cars around every corner.
And on a cool note, back in the day, my grandpa and uncle worked with Pratte before he started his own company. Too bad they didn't go with him, who knows what could of happened if they were there from the start.

Between Mid Ohio, Road America, Final Bout, three rally America events just between Pennsylvania and Michigan and not to mention the slew of car shows and stuff around the Mid West. You guys are missing out!
Whatever that blue car is set up as a lowrider is amazing. Please say it'll show up in another post, even just one photo. I mean, it would look better with a complete bed, but I'd take it in a heart beat.

Replaying to myself, but what's the car on the Bonus Images page that's six photos down? Those headlights look like the older Jensen, but the car looks French. Is it a Matra? I love Matras. I need a Matra.
Did I mention I like Matras? It literally hit me early today too. Not even kidding. I thought about the MS670 and now I'm hooked. I love all odd French cars. Panhards? Yes please.
I hate this time of year. Every year I see the posts from this show, and I realize I'm not there.
Looks so awesome.

I like everything about the car, except the wheels and ride height. Give it a decent drop and some meaty tires around a mesh wheel or something, perfect.
But it's his car, and I have to admit, it is crazy which was the point. So it's all good, it's what makes the car scene so awesome!
4 months, 2 weeks ago on A Bridgeported Party In The Rear
I saw that blue Camaro, the first photo in the story, this year at Road America. And wow, the tires were massive on that thing, and he could just whip it around anything. And that Rocket Bunny RX-7 was there too, you did know that car was the US debut of that kit? Debut during a NASCAR race in Wisconsin. who'd of guessed.
But after seeing it myself, and this post, I'm starting to like the Optima Challenge. Seeing how the cars move and hustle around those tight courses is insane.

Yea like Rotorhead said, there were a few AWD Mustangs built back in the '60s and '70s, including in '65. They look completely normal from the outside, which make them completely unassuming.
And that Rampage Camaro won the Gran Turismo award, so be looking forward to driving that in the future in game.

I know a lot of people who don't get drag racing, and I always tell them it's awesome. I've been to two historic drag events here in Michigan this year, and I left both times with a smile, and almost bleeding ears thanks to the funny cars from the '70s. And then there's the altered wheelbases. They are easily near the top of the list of the coolest race cars out there.

Michelle Mouton, Shirley Muldowney. They're just two examples, but they both jumped into two of the most extreme types of racing and were amazing at it. I was/still am a photographer for a rally team here in the States, and our driver is a girl. She loves it, she drives her rally car all over town, and always tries to help out the crew when they're working on her car. There's a few female rally drivers in the Rally America that come and go, and they just enjoy racing. My mom is even a little into cars. She goes to rallies and on the rare occasion a car show. She didn't really grow up in a car centered family, her brother had some nice muscle cars, but she just kind of got into it herself and with my dad. Even some of my friends that are girls seem to understand cars a little more. One even wanted to try drifting in the snow once, that's when she buried my car in snow bank. But at least she was having fun with something automotive. I don't know if there's a point to that long comment, but I feel like I've been lucky with female car enthusiasts. Or at least semi interested in a way. You better believe my girlfriend, whenever that happens, will be surrounded by cars, and if she doesn't like them now, hopefully someday she'll show some interest. If not, no worries.
