@pedey Ugh I need to see one so bad!! I have a 1:18 model of it, but it's my dream to see one, even just parked. I can't imagine what it must be like when it's driven flat out.

That roof is awesome. I see Corvairs all over the place here, but never the wagon. I like how that looks, and lowered it looks even better.

I like how he went from a Beetle, to a Ferrari to a Lola. Talk about an epic history.
I've been complaining that racing is kind to the privateer anymore because of what he said, high price, non street legal, etc. But that is pretty awesome that he's trying to make a car that is a through back to the days of racing where anyone could race. That is probably the coolest thing someone can do in the car world like him with money and being well known. If I had the money for one, whatever it may cost and be, I'd be first in line to get one and race it everywhere and anywhere I could. I can't wait to see where it goes.
None of those were questions, I'm just amazed that someone had the same thought as me and is trying to change it.

My only negative note here is, don't show a story shot in the winter in August. I live in Michigan and the last thing I want to see on a nice warm August day is snow. And wasn't this the car at Air Lift in Michigan, or is this after your Michigan visit? Either way it's Michigan/Illinois snow, NO!
I like the car though, so clean.

I've been to Cars and Coffee Irvine four or five times, I think it's been there all but once. And I never get tired of it. The best part about C&C is the fact that every time I go all the cars are different, but this is like a staple for me, it's always there. And now I finally get really learn about it.

@itswhitenoise It's an awesome garage. People bring in their cars during the car show too. That alone is usually pretty crazy. A few years ago a guy brought in the most recent B.A.T. concept car from '08. Vettel's F1 car from the Detroit Auto Show this year showed up, you can never really guess what will show up until you get there. If you guys are ever around Ann Arbor, MI during the first of the month, I'll get you there. Happens every month!

There's a place like that here in Michigan kind of. It's an unmarked building filled with about 100 cars from a mid '80s Diablo to about five E-Types and Rolls and Cadillacs. It's a storage place for locals around, and every first Saturday of the month they have a car show, but the only way to know about it is if someone "in the know" tells you about it. Reminds me a lot of this place, just the one you guys have here, has a lot rarer cars and it's all one person. Very cool place though!

So cars like this are built in the peoples garages and stuff? I can't even fathom the cars I've seen here that people have built themselves. I mean, I had a hell of a time just just swapping out my clutch in my 240, but a lot of that is due to or incredibly cold winter here in Michigan we just had and the fact that our garage is only a two car and not heated. But the people in Scandinavia are just insane with their cars.

WHAT?! I've been to four or five, maybe six Irvine C&C and I haven't seen that good of a mix. And your claim, that has to be the best Cars and Coffee ever, and there's no Cars and Coffee that will ever come close to Irvine. We have a few different ones here in Michigan, and I honestly can't walk through them without comparing everything to this one. Although we do have one here that's like a scaled down version of this, but this one is king.
And on a side note, I think you're my favorite Speedhunter. Everyone here is awesome, but everything I really like, you always seem to cover or something comes up on your Instagram.

These wheels are nice for sure, but the wheels he had on this car before were way cooler in my opinion. I've always liked his cars, but honestly this car was my favorite just because of the wheels and how the gold worked so well with the blue. But oh well, nothing I can do.

I think we can all agree that the Gumball 3000 is still the best big, exotic car rally thing in the world though. But I'm bummed that I didn't know they were meant to be in Cleveland the last couple days.
On another note, is that GTR running Michigan tags? I've seen photos of a GTR on air at car shows before, plus their with Air Lift, so I'm assuming it is from Michigan.

I like this stuff. Everyone knows what it's like after a car show or race and it just gets crazy. During a big cruise here in Michigan, the Friday before the event everyone cruises too, but the cops shut the road down around 1am to get the traffic off. So while they were getting drivers off the road, the drivers would just do burnouts and people were everywhere pushing them on. Cops just watched an kept directing traffic.
This story adds a whole other feel to the events that you guys cover. Again, I like.

I challenge your question with my event, the Woodward Dream Cruise. It's technically only a one day event, but it really already started. One Saturday in August Woodward Ave, the main drag here in Michigan is turned into a massive multi mile cruise of every car imaginable. The numbers can't really be confirmed, but it's guessed to be about one million people and usually around 400,000 cars. In one day. That doesn't take into account the week before where there's a few more thousand cars out cruising. I'm sure this event is massive, but I think the Dream Cruise takes this cake.
And it's not just a bunch of lowered VWs. :D

I think it was one of the first racing games I ever played. I think I started with NFS II and went from there. Although anything after Underground kinda went downhill and I stopped after that. But all the NFS games before that were epic, and consumed most of my childhood. Whenever I think of NFS, I think way back to what I think was Hot Pursuit 1 and there was a secret car. I can't remember the name, but it was some type of tropical storm. That is always the first thing to pop into my head.NFS also taught me how to pronounce Aston right.
Now I can't even find that secret car, so maybe it's a different game altogether? I don't know, but still, all NFS games from Underground on down were awesome.
I was a part of a rally team that drove from Michigan to Washington. It was totally cross country, but it was still pretty far. In the back seat of quad cab Chevy Diesel, we did it in three and a half days with one two hour rest stop. But the things we say were totally worth it.
