Peggy, you are SO sweet. Thank you so much for including me in this post--it seriously just made my day. I'm honored to be included in this list of AMAZING women. Thank YOU for your infectious positivity! The world needs more people like you in it. <3
@ginidietrich MY favorite named person! Great post today. :) Hope you have an awesome weekend!
@nickkellet Excited to see you mentioned here! It's well deserved. :)
@Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing @rdopping Jayme, you are one classy lady. I, and the rest of the team, appreciate your deliberate intentions when sharing. We're working hard to make tools that help bloggers do their job even better, and it means a lot to have your support. As always, thank you for all that you do!
Ralph, totally understand where you are coming from--it's really easy to change @Shareaholic to be your Twitter handle. It's a simple option in the WordPress Panel under "Twitter configuration."
And Jayme, if you want to have the best of both worlds, you can put both of our Twitter handles: https://blog.shareaholic.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Screen-Shot-2013-01-16-at-9.45.23-AM.png ;)
Jayme, thank you for including me in such a thoughtful, passionate and sweet post! I agree--saying thank you is not always expected, but definitely appreciated. I'm lucky to be able to work with wonderful people (including you!). Glad we could get everything working again for ya!
Oh and P.S. about the Chrome cache--no need to clean it out all the time. It was just to get your blog to show the fix that we had made more quickly than if you had let the cache update on its own. :)
Thanks again for including me--I'm touched.
Gini, awesome awesome post! I've been mulling this issue over for a while and I agree with you--Facebook is shifting toward pay-to-play rather than organic, which has huge implications for small businesses.
I've been interested to see how PR/marketing/communication folks are responding to this change--some are pointing out how frustrating this while others are urging people to work harder/be more creative to get around this barrier. We'll see how people feel as Facebook's model evolves, but for the moment this is still a pretty even debate. Thanks for this awesome post!
Peg, you are awesome! Thanks for the shout out on the slideshow option. This is an awesome roundup. :)
@KimGrob Anytime, Kim! Totally agree--people love to be recognized and appreciated. Glad that's working for you! :)
@patrickwagner @Tufee I prefer Quora, just because of the variety of topics and experts available on there. That's just me. :)
@Tufee Glad you enjoyed this post! LinkedIn Answers is a great way to come up with new ideas. I'm also partial to Quora for brainstorming topics and keywords. Thanks for commenting. :)
@Anthony_Rodriguez 100% agree with you, Anthony. Tapping into common emotions through images and quotes is a great way to connect with others online. Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts!
@barrettrossie Thank you! Glad these tips were helpful for you. :)
I definitely agree with your friend on the Facebook strategy--photos have been found to be get the most engagement (http://danzarrella.com/infographic-how-to-get-more-likes-comments-and-shares-on-facebook.html) and I've personally seen higher engagement on Shareaholic's Facebook page by using photos as posts. Maybe that would work for you too! Thanks again for stopping by.
@jasonkonopinski Nice! Sounds like you already have a good strategy already around social shares and referrals. :) Appreciate you stopping by to share your success!
Our mistake! Just fixed the tag. Thanks!
@ginidietrich Thanks, Gini! Drives me batty too...if you make it easy for people to share, they will. Appreciate you stopping by and commenting :)
@AlisonMorris Thanks dear! :) So grateful for your help along the way. Hope all is well!
@Jessica Torres Thanks for stopping by! :) So glad you enjoyed the post--it's been a wild ride so far.
Gini--congratulations to you and your team! This is such an amazing accomplishment. I love reading your blog every day in my RSS feed and I look forward to reading it for years to come. :) Thanks for having awesome content!
Hey Gini, hope you're enjoying vacation! That's incredibly cool that you paid with the Apple app in store. I'll be interested in seeing how social commerce takes off--or not. For me, it seems like a no brainer, but some people may be afraid of privacy issues. Anyway, this is a great post. I'll definitely be sharing it! :)
