I say it's about speed and handling. If it can get to triple digit speeds (in MPH) in the time it takes any other normal car to get to half that, and it's built to go around a corner at insane rates of speed while holding it's composure, then it's a supercar.
I really love the article and the subject matter, but... I'm a little disappointed with the desktop selection. I really wanted either that 2000GT or F40 on my desktop!
YES! The C1! Now I have to go play a Tokyo Xtreme Racer game...
Some wicked cars here. Not my style, but I still have mad respect for them and for the guys who built them.
I actually like the first 4 EVOS more than any of them that came after. The EVO IV especially.
I really love these posts about tuning shops in Japan! Keep 'em comming!
I don't think I'll ever grow to like the headlights. Just like the lights on the Ferrari 458, I was never crazy about them. The rest of the car though... wow
I want to hear it with that Audi engine!
I did a quick price conversion for one of those wheels that was 22,000yen. That comes to about $237 US!
This video brought tears to my eyes
I want to see this in action on the Wangan!
I lean towards function over form. But I find that the form that takes shape from a car built for function is the best form of all. When form and function meet in the middle (or more towards function), that is when a truly amazing machine has been created and those are the builds I have the most respect for.
This is simply amazing! Makes any attempt I ever made at building a model look like shit.
@dhedhemit I thought so too when I saw that spoiler. I've never seen any other R34s like that
Way more captivating than any American parking lots! What about all of those cool cars that are just out of frame sitting next to most of the ones that you shot? This post could have been 3 times as big!
@hanablemoore @inspector_exacto You're right. Safety wouldn't be on our minds at all. Just speed. No matter what it takes.
Those men were fearless back then.
Man I want to go to that PA sooo bad!
