I would be very content with choosing a 1987 Buick Grand National as my one car.

@greenroadster  @inspector_exacto Yeah it has love/hate looks indeed. For me, it's love. I can tell for you it's hate and thats okay. Once Buick releases the Regal GS Wagon, that will take the top spot for me. I love station wagons in general. More than I probably should.

I've been obsessing over the Cadillac CTS-V Sportwagon for a while now. 556HP supercharged Corvette V8, 6spd manual, and rear wheel drive in a station wagon! Any of you ever see "Hit and Run"?

I say it's about speed and handling. If it can get to triple digit speeds (in MPH) in the time it takes any other normal car to get to half that, and it's built to go around a corner at insane rates of speed while holding it's composure, then it's a supercar.

I really love the article and the subject matter, but...  I'm a little disappointed with the desktop selection. I really wanted either that 2000GT or F40 on my desktop!

I don't think I'll ever grow to like the headlights. Just like the lights on the Ferrari 458, I was never crazy about them. The rest of the car though... wow

I lean towards function over form. But I find that the form that takes shape from a car built for function is the best form of all. When form and function meet in the middle (or more towards function), that is when a truly amazing machine has been created and those are the builds I have the most respect for.

Way more captivating than any American parking lots! What about all of those cool cars that are just out of frame sitting next to most of the ones that you shot? This post could have been 3 times as big!

Hey, isn't that 1889 Mercedes the one that was in Gran Turismo 3? or 4? I forget which one, but one of them had that. When you drove it, your guy wore a leather helmet and big goggles from the era.

Chances are the guys running the junkyard just didn't know what that engine is. They just think "oh, a Toyota engine? You can have it for $XXX.XX". X= very cheap!

@kscf31  @zamm333 Indeed TRD has a supercharger kit available for other engines, but not for this little boxer4. I think forced induction is the most logical route to more power. Whether it's from a turbo or supercharger, it makes the most sense.

Every single one of these cars is before my time, but they helped to define and shape the race and road cars of today. You can't not appreciate any of these car's significance. They were so much more hardcore and pure back then.  I have nothing but respect for these cars and even more for JD Classics for bringing them back to 100% again for a whole new generation of enthusiasts to appreciate.
