@Lost Ones I think the biggest problem for us has been the disappearance of Harden.
@f5alcon @OkcBaby I am at one with the universe (but the universe feels a little nervous right now!)
Closing out a series can be tough. Even more so for a championship. So hopefully the Heat players will be thinking about that mighty hard tonight and tense up in the moment. While our guys come out with fire and play for broke. I hope.
This will be the third time I've said this now but... cmon guys, win this one tonight and take the series back to OKC!
Third time's the charm, right?
@Lost Ones I don't think it's the only reason either, maybe not even the main one. But at some point, you have to wonder how it has affected the team, knowing that they can do their normal thing and yet be penalized for it. Screws with the head after awhile.
regarding all the 50/50 calls this series -- doesn't it feel more like 90/10? Probably just a fan's warped perspective...
But it would be interesting to have someone go through the games and see how many 50/50 calls went to Miami and then determine how statistically likely that outcome was. My guess is that such an analysis would show the Heat getting far above the number of calls than a random distribution would generate.
@TaoMaas Even if Durant was using it, the suit is still baseless. Trademarks are issued only pertaining to a certain domain of business, in order to protect companies from sound-alike copy cats. For example, Apple has a trademark for Apple computers, but you can still have Apple Plumbing or Apple Auto, etc.
Nobody would confuse a rock guitarist with an NBA player. It's a different business domain. If KD was trying to sell music using the Durantula name, then it would be different, but he isn't. Likely, the lawsuit is tossed out by a judge very quickly.
@C-Wil Actually, the NBA would like the series to go to seven games. More air time and revenue.
Those who think the reffing is rigged could take heart from this -- they might actually call against Miami a lot more tonight just to keep the series going.
And I don't mean he was standing in the background. He was the freaking star of that commercial, baby. You go Thabo!
Just saw Thabo in a Norman Chrysler, Jeep, & Dodge commercial.
I guess that means Thabo has finally arrived?
:)
wow, a bunch of great reads in the bolts today...
another great read, that did not make the bolts:
favorite quote: "It’s very hard to describe Durant; there’s a constant risk of abusing similes or mixing metaphors. The closest comparison I can muster is that he’s like some sort of angry ghost. There’s never a trace of superfluous motion, of wasted effort. He glides almost instantly from place to place as if unbound by mortal shackles such as gravity and momentum."
amazingly, there could have been about 100 more bolts today
I'm on information overload trying to follow all this (but loving it)
