I'm not surprised the deal got done, only that it was done so soon. I've always thought athletes are WAY overpaid, but when you step back and consider the massive sums of cash the owners are raking in, it's not as rediculous. It's all relative anyway. Here's hoping Waino wins a couple Cy Youngs and we look back on this deal as a bargain.

@athooks I thought I heard Miklasz saying Pete did have a + glove, but might've been projecting my personal hope that he will be the starter, lol. I know he wasn't good defensively in the minors. Cedeno is *definitely* a minus glove, and if he is their starter I will be very sad, as a fan. No question the whole SS situation has been questionably handled by the team, but offering Cedno as the solution is laughable. It's only my opinion, but all other things considered I think Kozma is at worst a wash defensively w/Cedeno and is an obvious upgrade at the plate. Here's hoping STL decides to go with youth there.

Sarcasm noted, hehe. Seriously though, do you truly believe Cedeno is the assumed starter? I have to hope that's not true.

Yours is the only blog I read that uses the LiveFyre system, but I have no problem commenting with it. I'm usually reading blogs while at the office, which I'm not supposed to do, but it hampers my ability to spend time posting comments. That's my problem, not yours, hehe. Do what you gotta do man, I'll still be reading.

She was flirting man, accept it!

I know I often feel self-conscious when I'm at the store by myself but I too am rarely giving much thought to what the people around me look like. Sounds and smells, that's another story, but I think whether we like it or not, try as we may, almost every day is judgement day, to some degree.

If you didn't look so damn excited about it I'd think that pic was Photoshopped, but I can tell you're really into this whole Rogaine thing, so yeah, good job!

Agreed, recognizing it is a very good thing. It allows you at least the chance of working through or beyond those feelings of intolerance. I'd share my own struggles with the same sort of thing, but this is about you and I don't want to try and steal any of the limelight and risk sending you off on another raging tirade :D You're welcome.

I, too, enjoy being one of your readers. I cherish the time I get to spend reading your blog posts and one day hope I might make people laugh as you make me laugh. Winning.

Can't say I ever really got "busted" for smoking cigarettes, probably because my best friend & I would walk down to the Dairy Queen and smoke in the back where the grass was, next to the parking lot, and when we were done we'd scrub our hands in the grass to remove the smell. We were geniuses!

Thankfully, I don't smoke anymore.

Recently had a sandwich on pretzel bread. It was probably the most delicious bread I have ever tasted in my life. I think I would like to eat everything, always and forever, on pretzel bread. I have found ONE place in all of my suburban area that sells it in loaves (and not in long, thin pretzel "sticks") Part of me wants to complain, but part of me wants to keep this a secret so that I might horde ALL OF THE PRETZEL BREAD

This made me laugh because #1 I crack my knuckles all the time and B I don't like listening to somone ELSE crack knuckles!. Until recently I have not lived with someone who cracks knuckles. It's throwing my entire belief system into chaos.

Halloween is one of the few times I actually like living in an apartment because I don't have to deal with trick or treaters at my door. Of course I enjoyed it as a kid, but as an adult, the kids are (mostly) rude, they don't have jokes, and only the youngest of them even bother wearing costumes. Bah Humbug

To which I belong?

Take the stairs, do pushups & planks until you melt into a puddle of useless jelly. You can burn those calories! I heard drinking SUPER ICE COLD water actually helps you burn calories. Just do that. A lot. Or something.

I like the "staring into eyes in silence" thing, cause it's kinda creepy, and I kinda like creepy.  I also like the silent moments, often more than the noisy ones. Noisy ones mean there's probably people around and you know, that's just not as enjoyable as my own company. I get where you're coming from, I think. I don't see a therapist anymore, maybe I should?

I'd agree anger is healthy, as long as it's not the only emotion you have or show, all the time. I've been that guy :( Then I got divorced and now I'm happy! Just kidding, lol.

I've broken finger lunches the fridge, gave it a nice dent too. Was one of those 1970's models so no small feat!

I bet you couldn't punch your way out of a croissant bag, and you probably wear a beret!

@Natalie the Singingfool @bluenotebacker I'm glad to be helpful, but sad that the 1st thing in my mind when I ready your mention of poetry was a man from Nantucket. I blame DJ though, because it seems like something I might read here ;)

Men should never, ever dance naked. If you can't understand the inherent danger that poses, then well, I'm sorry. I'm also sorry for planting that mental image in anyone's mind this morning.

I don't think I've offended by it so much as just saddened. I think it's very inappropriate, and smacks of racism, but I've become fairly immune to being offended by the stupidity of others. If anything I'm just embarrassed for them.

For the record, I do think you're a little crazy, but not because of this, and no more than I.

@Kelly Fox omg I just almost peed reading that! Usually for me, before the shame spiral I have to take a couple Xanax to calm down to even be able to recognize that "good lord, man, are you even LISTENING to yourself?"

I totally understand about the yogurt rotation. As if Mondays weren't rough enough already. Whew. Try "listening" to Wilco's SPIDERS in your head, that song is like 45 minutes long just by itself, you'll be home before you know it. Have a safe ride!

Sorry to hear you're such a pain in the... oops, wait, I mean, hehe, sorry to ehar about the trouble you have with pre-made food (all fast food.) I can relate, just a little, because Taco Bell is one of my few remaining, secret (not anymore) fast food indulgences, and mostly because my super picky daughter will eat the soft tacos there. And the cinnamon stick things. But anyway, she will *only* eat them with NO lettuce. I do the same dance routine, say the order, repeat, ask them if they skipepd the lettuce, etc. If we get home and it's got lettuce, she wont eat it, wont even take it off then eat it. The lettuce has touched the meat & cheese, it's a total loss >.<No, I've not yet evolved to where I check before I drive away. Yes, that is kind of pathetic. Thanks as always for sharing!

One of the things I regret most about being married was NOT keeping a bank account for myself. Made it so much harder to get divorced. I wont make that mistake again.
