@ClayMorgan LOL...this comment made me visualize all us "crazies" dancing on the graveyard of comments!

Those are pretty interesting stats. Here's a thought...it is your blog, so you can add all the comments together and count them as your own...WINNER! Enjoy your long weekend! :)
@belllindsay @LauraPetrolino @lizreusswig That's surprising...guess they could use a "bit" of advice, too.

So glad I had a minute to stop in and see how this played out and the comments are AWEZOME! ;) I wondered if any competitors reach out to you?

Yay @MackCollier! Happy Inquisition Day...so glad to get this "Backstage Pass" into your world! Isn't interesting how many online extroverts are offline introverts? :)

Oh, great...now @ginidietrich is only going to hire boys! LOL
And btw...is it possible I'm the only one who noticed (or has the nerve to mention) that @ClayMorgan said he "puts on tights"?!? Really, he did...Scroll back up and look! ;)

@biggreenpen @laurapetrolino I noticed that, too!
Love this Schelfie with three people I truly adore & respect! Can't even describe how much fun it was to hang out with Mark & Gini at #SMatWork earlier this year! They are the REAL DEAL - kind, helpful, interesting and crazy, crazy smart! Case in point - seven patents? Wow! :)

What an awesome way to start the day! Every time I see/hear Laura it makes me happy! I hope Portland is ready for a serious dose of rainbows & unicorns! And I sure hope you're stocking up on cold weather gear! :)
@Howie Goldfarb @lizreusswig @ginidietrich @belllindsay I'm betting she'll totally ignore this comment, Howie! ;)

@belllindsay @lizreusswig @ginidietrich So I've heard!
Not surprisingly, this is a very smart approach and I can totally see why your team is so dedicated and why it's hard to get them to take time off! (what a problem, eh?) As you point out, it won't work for every company or even for every employee, but what a win-win for those who can do it well.
@ginidietrich you realize that you're going to have an avalanche of resumes coming your way, right? :)
@ginidietrich @mathewsn Something I've done with my two girls since they were little is to frequently say to them..."Sophie/Emily is..." and they're to finish the sentence with three things. One of my proudest mom moments was when they gleefully yelled, without prompting, "Smart, Talented & Awesome!" And I'll brag about that until the cows come home! :)

This is a true story!
Excellent post, @LauraPetrolino - it's always interesting to think about the differences that make folks tick and I love your action-provoking ideas! For me, I'm naturally an extrovert (ask my kindergarten teacher!), but find myself being more introverted as I get older.

@ClayMorgan Truth! I really wanted to try skydiving until the day my oldest was born. I think being a good parent may be one of the most daring jobs there is! :)

It would be fun to check back in a month or so and see how many of us "crazies" did this and what the impact was...
Right there with you, Lindsay! :)

Great post, @ginidietrich and you had me at, The Good Wife. One of the best parts of the show is Alicia's growth from that scared, self-sabotaging gal into a strong, kick-butt leader and yet, she's not perfect.

Change is good and THE INQUISITION...this is going to be fun, fun, fun!! I love that we get to pose questions and vote! Buckle up, kiddos....
PS - Hmmmm....Is it coincidence that this is all happening on Pi Day?
Catching up on all I've missed earlier this week...Of course, when I saw this post was by @bobledrew AND had Comedy & Tragedy I had to read it immediately! Sure glad I did...really excellent points and I so agree with the "how does it sound in your head" advice!
Regarding the restaurant post...I was more "offended" that in their apology they used "to cheap" instead of "too cheap" - starting to think I might have been an editor or English teacher in another life. ;)

@LauraPetrolino @ClayMorgan Which company? My bro's gaming company, Goblin Army Games, is located in Albany, NY...
5 months, 4 weeks ago on The Game of Content
@ClayMorgan Can't tell you how I love this post! I work with my brother, a board game designer, who has had two successful Kickstarter campaigns. I've learned that one of the reasons these campaigns work so well for gamers is the designers/producers enlist the buy in of the folks who pledge by offering cool perks and by including them in the process. Pledgers are not just donating to a game, they often have the opportunity to become an editorial voice in how the game develops or sometimes become part of the game itself. This approach is likely one of the reasons that Games are the top earning category on Kickstarter according to the data just released by the company this week. So, I heartily agree that engaging customers and giving them a unique and important role, beyond the purchase, is really powerful!

Oh, I love this post! I, like @belllindsay enjoy my fair share of sailor verbiage in personal life, but put it away for business and others I'm concerned would be offended. I agree each person/business needs to figure out what works for them.
Parenting Observation - I've noticed that a carefully placed swear word will snap kiddos out of that glazed "when will she stop lecturing us" look, like nothing else! ;)
