This is awesome. Great idea. Glad to see this happening.

I wanted to also say that when thinking about the "Stanford of the East" you also should consider another Pennsylvania school doing BIG things - Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Here's a link explaining the entrepreneurial culture at the University, http://www.cmu.edu/startups/. Here's a link explaining how current students and recent grads can qualify for up to $50k in a convertible note, http://www.cmu.edu/open-field/

Here is CMU's own version of an incubator, http://www.olympus.cs.cmu.edu/

In April, Y Combinator came to campus, http://ycombinator.posterous.com/learn-about-startups-with-yc-at-carnegie-mell

In November, Mark Zuckerberg came to three east coast campuses to recruit - MIT, Harvard and CMU- http://www.cmu.edu/homepage/computing/2011/fall/facebook.shtml

According to US News, CMU is tied with Stanford, MIT and Berkeley as the best CS program in the country, http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-science-schools/computer-science-rankings

Here are some current start-ups (and ones that have recently been acquired) with CMU roots:

GroupMe, ModCloth, Homerun.com, GumGum, Everlane, Spongecell, Duolingo, Dynamix and College Prowler.

Disclosure: I'm a CMU Alumnus, I'm the CEO and Founder of College Prowler (a company I listed above), and I sit on the Board of Trustees for the University.

If you have any questions about CMU, I'd be happy to put you in touch with the right person at the University.

Thanks for listening!

Carnegie Mellon University is in the process of opening a campus, as the first US University, in Sub Saharan Africa - it will be in Rwanda. Lot of great things are in store for that region.
