@Fengxii I hadn't finished Hotline Miami when I wrote this, and I'm also not sure how I feel about that game yet.

I didn't play Bullestorm on launch because the demo and the marketing made it seem like macho bullshit. Then I played it, picked up on the cheap from a Steam sale, and I loved it. The arcade-style shooting for points is a brilliant mechanic, and the irreverent humor was a welcome change from the super serious shooters of the recent present. That said, I don't know how happy I am about my own behavior playing the game--I'm not sure I should be filled with glee by kicking people into cacti.
