@NolanBjorn Contact me via pm or something with an address. Ill send you one. Why not help out a fellow 'hunter. Remember and pay it forward is all I ask. Also, give me a couple weeks to pick one up.
Those Green Tea Kit Kats are addictive! One of my co-workers brought me some and I am constantly in a Konbini looking for more of them. At work now three of us rotate bringing them in all the time.
Also, awesome article. There is a guy here in Otsu who has a beautfiul white one, and I'm just dying for spring to get here so i can take pictures of it on lake biwa.
@F1SuperSwede Rear diffuser as well, unless im mistaken the LM had a center split on each side, giving it 3 fins. plus the rear had a small black ducktail wing on the hatch under the spoiler.
I picked the Pantera.. its my favorite. Figured the countach would win. Probably should be, it is iconic. But the pantera is my favorite. Super fast, super fun. With all the other cars on the list, I would have loved to see an Iso Grifo.. for fun. Love those cars as well. The espirit and bora would be runners up. Gt versions of these cars, especially ones being run now in vintage road races always make me drool.
Easy for me. Ferrari 250gt California. It would take a no money issue to have one. A strange pick for me, considering how wild I would make my 2nd through 50th choices.. but.. that would be it. Stock. Just something about them.
@zer0zg @majik16106 @Johnny_Bravo Gentlemen is correct. If that is a Nakamura car, its it not THE Nakamura car. The rear fender is also different. Thank you sir. Good eye.
@Johnny_Bravo Yup, I have a soft spot for it too. I love the 308.. just one of those cars for me.. lol. His work on it really does make it look much better.
@Johnny_Bravo Looks like the Nakamura racing car. Pictures of it floating around the net if you look it up.
The f12 is much much prettier in person than in pictures. One of those cars that just seems to not translate as well to photographs, at least to me. Some guy brought one out to a little Ferrari club meeting in Hamamatsu about 3 weeks ago, and I was stunned. I hadnt thought much of it from press pictures, but in person in was to die for.
I love Nakano as well. Always a must stop. They always get plenty of my money. Too bad you didn't try the cafe. Usually the guys in there will talk cars like crazy. Customers and all. Even with limited Japanese it turns into the language of cars.. you know, name the model, name a circuit, and use sound effects and hand motions to describe the turns and passes... they get it.
@speedhunters_dino oh, lol. oops, missed that part. Then Ill save the high five.
I assume you will be in Osaka for the event then? I think I still owe you a high five for the Super GT BRZ feature.
@roryfjohnston Actually I just moved back, so at the moment I am in a Wagon R lease car from my company. I would love to meet up though for drinks or pictures, I need some car friends, most of my friends have left. I live in Otsu in Shiga on the other side of Kyoto. My facebook is attached to this livefyre account. if you want to message me on there.
@roryfjohnston lol. Im about 30 min away from Kyoto, its just too tempting.. EVERY time.
Awesome. I was just sitting here reading the new Old Timer thinking I might take a ride into Kyoto tomorrow for some Sakura background pictures. Its funny because it seems like even though everyone who owns a car in Japan takes pictures by the Sakura Tree, it never gets old and you have to have some for yourself. Awesome article and pics. Thanks Dino!
Oh. MY. GOD.
@Larry Chen Nevermind. Looking at it now it looks similar, but I dont think its it. Last time I saw a pic of the car I think it had the 350z style nismo side stripes. His was rotary powered. But right color seats, paint, and right wheels... so.. if not his then looks almost the same.
Holy Crap, Was that Todd Kaneko's 510? I think I spelled his name right. Blast from the Past that is! lol. Awesome build by the way. Cant wait to see how you like it once the other mods get done and you get to take her on a track.
Very, Very cool. This is a good starting point for trying to explain my sickness to my non-car friends. I showed it to a few and the whole "car is a canvass, builder is an artist" thing finally clicked with them. One of them even expressed how she better understood the painstaking process I take with planning every single little detail of a build that I may not start for 5 years. Glad someone put it where we could all see it. Thanks!
Lets not forget who helped pilot the KZR1 to victory, Ben Collins, AKA the first white stig.
