The 4mm Connect from www.InvisibleShoe.com is actually "more minimalist", less weird, costs about 80% less, lasts longer...
How they can claim "the only barefoot shoe that deserves the name" compared to www.InvisibleShoe.com (which has been out for 2.5 years, sold over 20,000 pairs, and has an independent university study that shows it's identical to being barefoot, but with a layer of protection)?
Oh, and Invisible Shoes are $25, not $120! And they have a 5,000 mile warranty (is it just me, or do those FreeHeels look worn out already?)
Those of us who are into barefoot (or minimalist -- I wear Invisible Shoes sandals from www.invisibleshoe.com) usually say, "It's not the footwear, it's the form!" It just so happens that the footwear informs the form. Some research I did showed that highly skilled runners could put almost anything on their feet and their form remained consistent. Less skilled runners' gaits changed dramatically, depending on what kind of shoes they wore.
