yep, there is no Long-term GOR, and the SEC is working on gaining programining (from the member schools) for a SEC network, cause as it stands now the schools maintain there individual rights after the conference meets its network tv obligations. Flordia sends there others sports events to the sunshine network i believe. I can remember tirgervision out of baton rouge way back when. which sat on a COX communications channel.
Just love the fact that SEC has no exit Fee... Speaks volumes without saying anything.
It is really good news for the ACC, bad news for the BE, I was really hoping that VT and NCState would jump ship to the SEC to go to four team pods with semis and championship but that is dead with the new buy out price and ND coming in. i actually liked those rumors to balance the SEC schedules better in the long run, that is the NCstate and VT rumors.
We will have to wait and see how it all plays out now.. but i hear a hollow version of TAPS for the death of the BE as a Football conference.. we are heading back to a big 5 and away from there touted Big 6.
Get the Sweetest Victory in the country at the SEC/Big12 Sugary Champions Bowl. (We can hope and pray)
kinda thinks its funny, SEC proves the Any-Given Saturday rule. but the Real Question is "Are you really the the best team if you can't win your chanpionship game?" If your players are not up and ready for any game, any time. You don't have the best team. Sometimes the other players just want it more, guess what that makes them the better team that day. If they win they deserve it.
