Been a huge fan of this car ever since I saw it on Tuned. Amazing build. I love that they used a sticker for the badge on the front end, just like a newer RS. Great attention to detail all around.

@TheDude69 I haven't heard that but it would surprise me. The CRX is based on a civic chassis, front engined, fwd.

@Chris Nuggets @HLB @LavarBowers I stand corrected, that's very cool.

@LavarBowers Larger displacement with most K series motors, more efficient, timing chain, they respond better to bolt ons than B motors do and there's the availability of 6 speed trannys, better fuel economy and they're more modern, just generally better.

On the other hand, B series engines have a bit more character than the K series mills, and VTEC feels better (haha). Transmission durability is also an issue with high horsepower K setups, but that comes in to play more with drag cars. It really comes down to personal preference, with some B series fans viewing K swaps into iconic B series cars like the DC2 Integra Type-R as sacrilege. I also haven't heard of anyone swapping a B into a car like an Elise. Very common with the original Mini though.

At the end of the day it essentially comes down to personal preference and what suits the chassis or application best. I love K series engines but I'll be keeping it simple and putting a B18C-R in my Integra when the time comes. Reliability isn't really an issue for either layout, Honda mills are pretty bulletproof if you take care of them.

I remember seeing pictures of this build on Sportcar Motion's FB page, what a gorgeous thing it turned out to be. A K20 Elise is a dream car for me, the other parts don't hurt it either, especially the 16/17 CE28n's.

I know it's not my car but please don't go down the road of huge bolt on fenders.

I'm interested to see how this model, with some suspension and chassis tweaks, and maybe some freed up power, would do against a similarly set-up GT on a track.

Gorgeous. Is it me or do you not often see this style of treatment on 55's? Seems like they usually end up as gassers, period customs with scalloped paint or those sort of big wheeled, pro touring-style builds?

I had no idea this was in Ontario until I saw that last Chevy pickup. (I'll admit I was just looking at the pictures). I saw it down on Queen st. west a couple weeks ago in Toronto parked up with that same F-1 with some gorgeous pinstripe details. Really cool seeing it on here!

It would make me pretty bummed if Ferrari left F1, but I'd have nothing against seeing them run in the LMP1 class. If I had to pick between the two, I'd choose F1, just because there's so much history there.

I have to say that your nostalgic japanese designs are a big part of what has gotten me back into buying hot wheels. I've accumulated a large number in the past few years. It would be pretty hard to pick favourites but if I had to, they might go like this.

EF Civic Si, Studebaker Champ pickup, Kenmeri Skyline, Hakosuka Skyline, 997 GT3 RS, 59 Chevy Delivery, 65 Impala, La Troca, 993 GT2 and the Celica,

@ToneDiez  Like Sparky said, if it weren't for European emission regulations this car would most likely be naturally aspirated and still running a K series. It might be a blessing in the long run. I'm a bit of a purist and I feel that R's should be NA too, but I think the most important quality is that they feel raw and balanced.
