One of the Public Schools near me just couldn't get the kids to eat Michelle's mandated lunches. The Cafeteria workers hated making them. Several kids just pick up the lunch and throw 95% of it in the trash. Well, this past Thanksgiving they had more families attend the open lunch for kids and parent because.....the school was cooking it's own menu. But Washington knows better. Idiots.

@jean1000 Get rid of the income tax and lobbyists will have no deductions to buy. Get rid of exemptions to any laws which also gets rid of Congress exempting themselves or any corporations, etc.. Flat tax only. Seems to me we need a Constitutional amendment ASAP.

I meant sad that they don't learn objectively. sorry. and 'guess we don't get a fair...
Our nation, the greatest in the world, did not steal from anyone. Our forefathers settled here and one of the first things they did was each person was given a plot of land and everyone would grow food and they would share it with each. However, it didn't take long for some of the people to realize that even if they didn't work very hard and produce as much food as the others, they would still eat just as much as the others. And that my friends got us to capitalism post haste. Our Founders also realized this and with much deliberation gave us the best Constitution ever written. Until Presidents, Congress and Judges (the 3 branches of government) chose not to follow it, it has 'evolved' (the pop word for the PC people so they can understand this) into country headed toward socialism. It's really sad that students learn objectively about socialism and capitalism. I guess we don't a fair share of each type of government. They are sending those that follow us into a world they don't really understand. And how does equal share mean rich class, poor class. The rich will always be rich but the poor will never have the opportunity to be rich. Gee, that's fair. I am so frustrated with our government that has chosen to change the government set up for us--not them. So, there are plenty of socialist and communist countries for you to go to. We do not have the same opportunities to go to another country that believes in free markets and capitalism. So, yes, you should leave the country, not us. MIchael Moron praised Cuba's healthcare, but he came back here. Why? It's so great in Cuba. I'm sure they would be happy to have all of you socialists and communists. I am staying & will do everything I can to get MY country back.
The states need to sue the Federal government for taking our schools. Or, even better, the states (including counties & cities individually) ought to set up there own school systems as they did in the past. Let the Federal government sue them. 10th amendment to the rescue.

@calinb7 I believe the Judge understands that quite well. That is why he cites our wonderfully perfect Constitution so often. It is not our Constitution that has changed but government going outside the limits of our Constitution and the courts extending the Constitution beyond its original meaning. Had we not 'adjusted' it to fit the whims of government, we would be doing fine today. People used to think for themselves (common sense)--not have others doing their thinking for them. When we stopped doing that, the government stepped in to pick up the slack and 'take over'. Until we accept this fact and fight back to get government out of our lives we cannot expect things to get better. Get rid of all these government agencies and subsidies, esp. government schools. It will be more work for us individually but the outcome itself will be our reward. God bless this country and help us to know it is our job to save it.
