@speedhunters_dino @zackspeed333 Okay maybe i am thinking of something else but I could have sworn the engine's where 1256cc. I do know that all the parts are interchangeable with the SB blocks.

Very rare car. Some interesting facts for you. The Turbo II was actually a 1300cc with its engine being based on the old SB engine from the first gen Civic 1200. There was also a one make series of Turbo II R cars produced that where full fledged race cars with much wider flares. After the series was ended all the cars where sold to someone in Australia but they never made it. As they where waiting to be shipped a earthquake destroyed the warehouse they where in. I believe only two still exist with one being the Orange one in Honda"s collection hall.

@CadeJohnson Its the engine package and yes it is about $30,000 for just the long block.

I knew about the GTR and must say that car is worth every bit that price. That thing was all original and low mileage.

I like it but to me its just a RSR clone. I would really like to see him put the RWB spin on this look. A crazy aggressive RWB RSR is my ultimate dream. Great work though and awesome shots of the car as always.

No matter how many times I see it it still boggles the mind. Quite a few other ones out there as well. Hard to get a sense of the speed on board but in some of the other videos from other events where you see the car fly by it really throws you for a loop. Over 200kph in a open wheel car on a mountain is just plain nuts.

Very nice build here. I have been working on a Evo 8 for a friend the last few days that puts down 340 to the wheels so I could only imagine what this thing is like to drive. It does seem that that once you start making 400 at the crank it likes to start eating parts though.

Yea I do not think this is going to happen. If it does power to them but seems to me it is just another money scheme like USF1. As for an American engine in the car that for sure is not going to happen. None of the American car makers have the money for that at the moment or any interest in it. Fiat owns Dodge so that is out. Chevy have huge legal issues to deal with and Ford have no clue what they are doing at the moment.

@RodChong Yea it was really cool and some of my best memories. One of my fondest was strapping into a old 934 in the Camel tent at five years old. It was a promotion thing to see how fast you could strap in like a real driver. My dad worked in Nascar for a long time and at one point Rusty was buying old cars and parts for the Auscar series back years ago. Cool stuff for sure.
Just to add it is great to see you with the Speedhunters. I have enjoyed your photos for some time and think I met you once at a Nopi Nat back in the day. My best friends Civic even made the issue one year in the event article. The drive to Nopi was great fun and great memories as well. Keep doing what you do.

Well seeing as the poll wants to be crazy I am picking the Bad Quality 180. Why? Simply because it is the most radical fully functional build I have seen in a log time. Though the E30 was a close second.

Love the Interscope cars. I got to see the 935's race when I was a kid in Camel GT and IMSA. Latter in my life I got to meet Rusty French who owns most of the Interscope 935's. I am wondering if this is one of his cars?
@apex_DNA @zackspeed333 @Daniils This is why it needs to go back to its roots. Test the drivers and cars. At the same time cap these guys at 400hp and see what happens.
1 year ago on Privateer: Taka & The Flying 86
@Daniils The reason why is the V8 deal takes away allot of the skill that is drifting. Its all throttle and no real talent.
Wow how emotional. Aono is such a huge inspiration to so many of us who have owned a 86 or taken any lesser car beyond what was thought possible. He does it for the passion and nothing else and so many should really take note of that. Don't ever give up Taka!
What I would like to ask is how much thought goes into the aerodynamic property's of the kits. With owning a wind tunnel being out of the question is there some CFD work being done?

Great news and just buys me a bit more time to get to the ring one day. Really happy to see it stay in German hands.

I have to say for me this is tough. I really have a soft spot for the early cars now and have been very lucky to drive quite a few different models. I love the old mechanical feel and the soul that older cars have. With the newer stuff it is at a point where things are to refined and dare I say maybe to fast. To me it seems there is more enjoyment to be had with the older cars. Have driven some newer models but never a GT3 so not sure what it is actually like but it is hands down my favorite of any super car out there. It just ticks all the right box's.
For me if money was not a decider I would have to go with a Singer 911. It just has all the correct things I want with the ability to chase a GT3 around. Now add some RWB into the mix and I am all in lol. Great article.

@Speedhunters_Bryn @BradLord @zackspeed333 Having owned a few FB chassis myself I have to say they are one heck of a machine. Growing up seeing the cars race in IMSA and the Camel series makes this story really hit home. Always wanted a RX3 and almost had a SP version but was not to be I guess.
1 year, 2 months ago on Mystery Mazda:</br>The JTCC RX-3 Found In A Basement
Very good article and hope more is found out. There was a all red RX3 in JTCC in 72. It was a small fender car but that would line up with the pics of the silver one. Have a feeling the fat flares where put on the car after it was brought to the states. I would also think the four link was done once it was here as well. I really hope you have a story coming for the SA22.
Awesome stuff. The GTR is such a beast and they sound so good when they have been tinkered with.

I am going with other for the Ferrari 288gto which was intended for Group B and its road racing variant class. It was also the car the spawned the super car era, To be honest though all of these cars should get a vote as they all brought something to the game. That has greatly fueled our car world over the years.
1 year, 4 months ago on The Greatest Group B Car?
I love the concept but to me it still needs some work. Rather than 510 I think they should look more towards the original Silvia for inspiration. This concept with a more flowing design would be a home run.
1 year, 5 months ago on Bringing Back The Seventies: IDx Freeflow
@DOHC_LOL The push-rod engine is the most non efficient engine ever produced. Funny thing is at one point most Nascar qualifying engines had Honda rods and pistons lol. I for one am sick of seeing LS engines in everything just because its the cheapest thing out there. If you want to talk V8's then what about the Hyabusa derived one. At half the size it makes 500hp and quite a bit of torque. The best part its efficient and revs to the moon.
1 year, 5 months ago on Not Afraid To Shock: Liberty Walk 458
I love my Ferrari's to be pure but you fools are crazy not to like this thing. This car is full of win from every angle. Very few tuners have done a Ferrari correctly and this is for sure one of them.
Waist of resource. The Sesto was awesome but this is just some ugly Hot Wheels car.

@Turbo BEAMS ae86 @MattJaz The rotary is not gone folks. Mazda came out and said that a few months back and are supposed to show it soon. I would expect it to show up around the end of the year. Emissions have not been Mazda's issue but rather fuel consumption and reliability.

Well for one Alonso is still under contract for three more seasons. So who ever he went to would have to pay out a large sum and quite frankly no team can do it and stay in budget. Secondly I would not put allot into the whole Ferrari engine being that far off. Ferrari are known for spreading false rumors about stuff like this.
My question is what will happen when team orders are called?? Neither Kimi nor Alfonso like to listen and I can see those two really going at each other at some point.
As for the rules change next season while being significant is still not that big of a change. Allot of the chassis and aero will stay much the same only producing less down force initially I bet. One hot topic has been the increase in weight and reduction in ballast. The taller drivers are saying its a instant disadvantage to them. Those drivers cant reach the same weight as a Vettel or Massa and not risk their health. One thing for sure is it should be the most competitive field since the end of the 70's. Quite a few strong teams these days. Red Bull, Mercedes, Sauber, Ferrari, Mclaren, and Lotus look very strong. Anyone of these teams can win races next year.
I want to know who will end up at Sauber next year. It looks like Hulk will go to Lotus and I am betting Massa goes back to Sauber.

1 year, 8 months ago on Toyota To Introduce Two New Rwd Sports Cars?
I am on the fence with this one. If we discredit silhouette racers we throw out some very radical and bold shifts in motoring that has gave us what we have today. Can these cars be called what they represent? While I agree these two machines are far from what they represent but they are GT variants. They have been built to a set of rules (or no rules if you like) to represent said company and to go fast.
I guess it really comes down to how much of a purist you are. I am a huge F40 fan simply because it's a production car that was built as a GT. The 911 is another as racing has clearly dictated its direction. Some of the best racing has come from stock tub based rules. In the end though I feel they all have a place and I for one will never turn down a chance to see anything crazy run around a track.

While I said with most on the Epic Lancia I had to pick the Volvo as it is so dang unique.
I have watched this quite a few times since yesterday and the acceleration and speed is nuts. He gets up to the limiter quite a bit at that's 160mph from what was said on the broadcast. I think if it where geared a bit taller the 7 mark would happen. Millen thinks it cant be beat.

The on board video of his record run is on Peugeot's web site. An amazing run for sure.
Have to say not sure how anyone can say that was a bad move. A little ambitious yes but Kimi played a big part in what happened. Kimi was floating across to block Checo but he was already up the inside. The FIA made the correct call in seeing this as a racing incident seeing as both drivers played their parts in what happened.
