@kevindurant35 This. And the two seasons where he played starters minutes (~30 per game), he was really productive. Perfect 3rd/4th option on offense.

Sweet, maybe he can teach Roberson how to shoot while he's here. That's some nice form.

@okcjim only 10% better from the field and 2X the % from arc as Lamb. Plus he tries to play defense and rebounds. He's our starting 2.

@[weed wolf faction] @BangBangThunder I think it's more likely he starts at PF alongside Adams when we can't afford to pay  Ibaka after extending Westy/Durant past '16/'17.

@Julius F Wrek thanks. Haven't been watching the feeds. If he doesn't defend, he doesn't bring much to the table. Yet I find it funny how we get outscored so much when he plays. Must be doing something.

@Legendary_Dork @[weed wolf faction] That's not it. The kid is still learning to play hoops. He's the youngest guy on this Summer League squad and he's probably been playing ball for less than 1/2 the time of the rest of them. When he puts it together mentally, watch out.

Through 2 very ugly games, sorted by the overly simplistic yet ultimately effective in winning actual real live basketball basketball games +/1 metric...something tells me we should get used to seeing a lot of Roberson and Huestis playing no 3 and D minutes at the two guard slot. Still hopeful that Josh's shot starts to fall, his form says he can shoot, but that's different than making shots in live action.

@Hustle_Westbrook It's almost like keeping the other team from scoring works just as well as scoring points. I mean, if you want to outscore the other team and win. Not that fun to watch judging from DT comment threads.

Huestis, Adams, Roberson and Semaj a combined -7. Everyone else is at least -8 or worse on their own. Ugly.

@okcjim It's definitely the weakest position in the NBA in terms of quality depth. I guess if we need to have a hole in our starting 5, might as well be 2 guard, there's only a handful of teams trotting one out who will be +EV every night. /half full

Grevis Vasquez has 4.7M qualifying offer. He's 6'6. 27 years old and a year removed from averaging 13-9-4 as a 33 minute per game starter. He shot .377 from the arc on 289 attempts in new roles with Sactown and Toronto where he wasn't on the ball much. His defensive numbers don't pop but I've heard scouts praise his solid man to man D. He also played high school ball with KD. Can we just make this happen already and move on?

@UnfortunatelyOptimistic 1 It's pretty clear if you listen to what Presti says, they're committed to building a Spurs like franchise. That's all about building through the draft and not trying to get guys other teams don't want via FA. It's hard being this close the last 4 years and coming up empty but it's easy to forget Durant and Westy are still younger than Jordan was when he won his first title. I'd settle for a slow build up and a long domination if the long domination involved 6 titles in 8 years. And no Durant playing minor league baseball as punishment for his gambling problem.

@Lasch Really hard to say, it feels like there's a lot of roster shakeup yet to come, either via FA or trades. Perkins goes elsewhere or Nick is slow to recover, McGary probably gets minutes.

You know who doesn't think Huestis sucks? Some kid named Wiggins who just went #1 overall.

34 minutes, 1-6 FG, 4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist in the biggest game of his career (to date).

Huestis played 39 minutes and guarded him almost exclusively. It's almost like Presti can recognize basketball players or something.

@KD4theWin @f5alcon @grindstone Not necessarily. How many 6'6 to 6'8 guys do the Spurs run for extended minutes in some of their lineups. 3, sometimes 4. Their legit 10 deep depth chart killed us and Miami. Well, depth and being the best passing team since the 80's era Lakers & Celtics. And they just added another one in Anderson. Sigh.
