@IseeYou I don't know who is down on Mark Ellis. We have low expectations of him and he certainly performed beyond what we expected of him in 2012. However, he is not a leadoff hitter and he should find a platoon partner for when he has to face tough righties. Crawford is not a leadoff hitter and Ellis should not be batting anywhere near anyone's "top of the order". He is a defense first player. The best leadoff hitter for this team is Hanley Ramirez.
Andre Ethier is NOT home grown talent. We traded away Milton Bradley and got back some kid named Andre Ethier. The only way management was able to convince Ethier to stay was to massively overpay him. He should indeed get traded, even if we just put Yasiel Puig in right.

Can we see some kind of "sing and trade" situation with the Mariners and Dodgers and Bourne?
Except for the fact that Crawford is better than Ethier... when healthy, I agree. Don't get rid of Ethier for nothing. Get something valuable for him, especially since he is over paid. Was Crawford bitten by a rattle snake?

make it 200 and we have a deal.

I'll even throw in Juan Uribe...
Puig, Ethier, and Ellis for Olt and Kinsler.
Ceasar Izturis comp for Dee Gordon is about as backwards as they come. All of Izzys value came in his glove, very little in speed, and you take what you can get with his bat. All of Gordons value comes with his footspeed, none with his glove, and you hope for more from his bat. I understand that the 2005 roster was ridiculous and were excited to see a huge improvement since then, but these comps are pretty rough.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but we signed Kent from the Astros.
@EephusBlue again, i dont mind that Simers is doing it, right or wrong. Its something that I want to do myself, right or wrong.

@EephusBlue its apparent that NO ONE is calling them out for their horrible play. I don't mind that Simers did and I am glad that Treanor got mad at him.
Its definitely difficult to watch this team heartlessly walk away from the playoffs. At least someone, Simers, is there to challenge them. We all hate Plaschke and Simers, but someone needs to get in their face and get them to start scoring runs. We all know Mattingly wont.
Cruz is likely to get sent down, while Uribe assumes his feeble role at third and Ramirez takes over at short. I believe...

Loney has no business on this team.

Considering half of Tollesons pitchers were actually in the zone, it wasn't that bad of an outing.

I've said many times, speed on the basepaths is an accessory, not a necessity.
