@DeniseDeMartino I don't see how lazy you make him out to be but getting three blocks and nine rebounds in his only Spurs game he played is not too shabby. I thought defense is what we wanted from our guys. We have enough scorers on this team. Oh well the mind of dictator pop.

Splitter actually score 3 important buckets to keep them close in the 4th quarter in one of those 2 last games. Don't think DJB would have been able to do that under the rim.

You Can Go After Mayo If Manu Doesnt Come Back. And Manu Is Coming Back. Sorry Hold The Mayo. By The Way If Tiago Would Have Played Game 6 And 7 He Probably Would Have made That Free Throw Kawhi Missed In Game 6 Or Made That PutbacK Timmy Missed In Game 7. Sorry Tiago Is Not The Goat Here. And Whos Going To Handle Gasol and Howard Next Season. Diaw? Baynes? Bahahaha!

I would not throw away Tiago and a few other spurs just too see this dude walk at the end of the season for a lot more money than we could give him and end up seeing him in LA or Boston later. And yes the chemistry would change. Does he do the things Tiago does like create shots for others with his screens throughout the entire game? I doubt it. And now Im hearing he has an attitude problem. I wouldn't disrupt the team the way we're rolling right now. We were 2 games away from the finals last season and now Harden is gone and we are better now so I know we can beat okc this season. Besides Pop is not known to make a major change at this point of the season. It would just throw a wrench in everything they built up. I say keep this team the way it is. If Ferry wants to give him to us for Blair, Jackson and Neal well maybe. Hands off Tiago.

@russman138 Yes Kaman has been left standing without a team. He wants out and now the Spurs may be his only choice. I'll take him over 38 year old Camby any day. A  big body is a big body plus he can shoot and can block shots around the rim. May not have the athleticism we are looking for but he's good enough for what we need and can afford besides beggers can't be choosers. Add Randolph and do away with Bonner and Blair. Timmy, Splitter, Kaman, and Randolph. Tall and better than last seasons front court. As for DeColo a very good passer and hopefully he gets acclimated to NBA speed and style of play by the all-star break next season. Bring Richards in to play with the Toros for a whole season and if he sucks dump him but if he doesn't then he can contribute in Timmy's last year with the spurs.

You are a typical off on bandwagoner who doesn't know shit about basketball. You must have many uses for tampons for bringing that up. Go play with your XBox nit wit.

@nish21 Kaman has no where else to go and he wants to go somewhere. His situation might be in the Spurs favor. I don't like Boris he is too undersized as well. You want more of that in the playoffs next season going into the western Conference finals? I don't and I'll pass on Diaw.

@ajd21 An older Tim Duncan with adequate rest can abuse many bigs out there still. Lorbek is done forever with the Spurs now. That's ok. Now Bonner or Blair or both will be packing their bags for sure. I'' still take Kaman over 38 year old Camby. If we can get Randolph very cheap and squeeze Kaman in as well then a front court of Timmy, Splitter, Kaman, and Randolph is way better than the the front court we had last season. Tall, Tall, Tall, Tall. Some can shoot, some have good footwork, some can block shots at the rim but they can all rebound. O'll take that any day.

@Ironwill71 I like Mills better than Neal and CJ. He's a good situational player that can come in and get you three quick 3's if your in a bind for points then out you go back to the bench. I would bet Anderson blows up on another team. I know that's going to happen. And when that day comes it will surely suck for us.

2 years ago on Denmon discusses pre-draft process | July

@Ironwill71 Then why did the FO spend $1.25 mil on CJ to be a Toro? He just doesn't look like he's going to be getting significant minutes next season as a Spur so why the big payday for a rookie?

@SivanJohn What does he expect playing for Jamaica? Playing time. To showcase his talents to Pop. He is desperate for an opportunity. He won't get that with the British team because he's been informed he may not see that much time on the court and he would rather have the minutes instead, even if it means playing with the Jamaican team. At least he'll play a butt load there be it a few games.

2 years ago on Ryan Richards shocks Great Britain. Quits the team, intends to play for Jamaica | June

Reply

@ReneJasso You got that right. People need to chill on Richards. He's just trying to get showcased. Like I said in my post he's a long shot anyway and his attitude is play me so I can show Pop. That is his primary goal. He has continually stated in the British interviews that Spurs , Pop and the FO are his only focus. He want's to get here really bad. Besides why would the Spurs organization cover the tab on both his shoulder surgeries and rehab him to boot? The only problem is Pop needs to stop the wine drinking and get Richards butt down here ASAP.

2 years ago on Ryan Richards shocks Great Britain. Quits the team, intends to play for Jamaica | June

@SpurGuy  That's not Richards fault that he landed in B class teams and Pop didn't bring him down to the Toros after his recoveries. He even left his British team because he is going to have none to limited playing time in the Olympics with the British team. They aren't telling you that. One of his parents is Jamaican and they came knocking on his door asking if he'd be on the team and pretty much willing to give him significant playing time. He took it so he can showcase to Pop even if they bow out early at least he'll have something to show. That's another player Pop needs to get down here after the Olympics and put him in Toro camp. If you can't evaluate him in Toro camp than that's either Pop's problem or he just won't be NBA material. Put it this way that's Mahinmi 2.0 but an inch taller at 7'0" but the difference is he can shoot from downtown and is more athletic and can handle the ball like nobody's business at that height. It took Mahinmi forever to put on some weight then improve. Unfortunately he is now becoming an NBA level player. As for Richards the time is now to evaluate him even if you put in the Toro camp and leave him there for a season at least he'll be able to show Pop what he has to offer after one season in the DLeague. We have nothing to lose if they just evaluate him now besides he was a long shot pick anyway. If he can grasp the Pop system quickly and show some signs of defense (shot blocking) and can rebound then he will be useful to us. Many people in this forum here expects for Tim Duncan 2.0 to walk in from nowhere. Sorry but we only get those every 10-15 years in and in lottery picks. So in the meantime if we can get height mixed in with serviceable talent add that to experienced good NBA talent in the front court than we'll be fine. I just wouldn't put him on the shelf and never see what he can do until he's 28 years old. That's crazy.
