@baltobikeboi "Drops in cycling MAY also result from helmets and helmet laws instilling an exagerated perception of the risks of cycling."
That was once said of safety glass and set belts on automobiles.

@csgauthier @SafeTea Of course how would one prosecute for voter fraud when almost no one is checking for it?

@americanfirst If you don't have the most general of photo ID's then oyu can use just about anything at all, like an electric bill or your welfare check! Or the card that was mailed to you by the Voter Registration Office to verify that you are registered to vote.
And this sort of thing is a problem. This is fraud? It is, just not the kind you think it is.
@Chris Williams Dead Republicans are not resurrected, they are reincarnated as Democrats.
Um, so sorry to inform you, but the Hot Chocolate 5k/15k is a colossal rip-off. When they were in DC last December ... stop. Let me correct that right off; it was billed as the DC Hot Chocolate 5k/15k. The 15k was short by about a quarter mile. It was not in DC, but at National Harbor, MD. The course was on one of Prince Georges County's busiest highway. When things went wrong RAM Racing blamed the local constabulary (yeah blame the cops, that'll win you friends), the hosting venue, National Harbor, and even their own customers, the runners. National Harbor has exactly one entrance and when the Woodrow Wilson Bridge was slammed on a Saturday morning because the race "organizers" hadn't anticipated that 20,000 runners would cause traffic problems, the lied to us and told us there had been a traffic accident reported on WTOP (there was not).
THEY LIED TO THE PEOPLE WHO PAID FOR THE RACE!
They promised a Brooks warm up jacket. We got a flimsy piece of nylon I wouldn't give to a homeless person and mine said "Illinois Bone and Joint Center." I got a left over from their Chicago Race ... also a fiasco.
They offered no refund, no real apology, no honest explanation, and even sent us an email that said "we're sorry if any of you were offended by our last response." The last response was the one that blamed the police and everyone else for their problems. They should have been sorry for offending us, not sad that we were offended ... big difference.
RAM Racing supposedly means Running Away Multisport Racing. I think it means Running Away with your Money Racing.
Avoid the Hot Chocolates if you want to spend you money well.

The Empire State Building weighs roughly 365,000 tons. That’s a ton for everyday of the year. (And, by the way, it’s also open all those 365 days.)
No ... it's 1000 tons for every day of the year.
