Obviously an early exit from the playoffs is unacceptable for a team with this much "talent".Its hard to lay all the blame on Torts though. He proved successful last season. His only true coaching deficit was the atrocious power play and perhaps that was Sully's cross to bear. As far as his surly nature, that is not a team's excuse to play like shit and without heart as professionals. You don't need to be married to the man, just work for himand most importantly WORK for the fans paying your friggin salaries. I was willing to give him the first half of a real season to see if he could turn around this slumping team. But as soon as his derogatory words regarding Hagelin were released, his release was inevitable in my opinion.

I look forward to sitting my ass on the sofa watching my boys play, win OR lose. But I am losing interest in watching them this season because they play no better than my old man C league. The spunk, grit and savvy play has eluded them since Henrique slammed the door in the ECF. A shake up is indeed in order.

Didn't all NHL teams have a shortened training camp? That's a poor excuse this "far" into the season. They need to get healthy, find that chemistry and roll four lines

@coontzbloontz a W was not in their cards last night and another goal would've resulted in the same loss...3-0 or 4-0, they were shutout and that's a blowout to me ...LGR

This team is lost and boring to watch. I so wanted to hang with these boys last season when there chemistry and heart defined the team. I find there lack of camaraderie and spark an insult to the fans. Lackluster at best. I was never a fan of goon fights in the NHL, but to not send messages to an aggressive opponent is pee wee hockey. You heard me before and here it is again....I miss Avery. Also, with my 20/20 hindsight...maybe $2.5M for Prust was not a bad deal considering what the Rangers bankrolled for our sleeping snipers.
@coontzbloontz I'm sure your sentiment would change if G broke his ankle...you dont play your best D at the end of a blowout game
@Beckfan5 @gravey94 McD and the stare down....what a beast!

@KevinDeLury No doubt...but its the emotional detonator we need, the verbal jabbing, chirping bad ass

@KevinDeLury Miller is on track to be an elite top six player and cannot afford to behave like an Avery. Hopefully, he will be a Cally/Nash hybrid...grit grind and goals. We do need to fill the bottom six void of The Grate One
Despite his obvious immaturity, the Rangers need an Avery character on their team. Energy, grit and some goals to boot.
@BuckarooClub @AnnoyingJoe @KevinDeLury i thought it was KC

@TCharity1482this is an opinion based blog with many like minded fans. There has never been a bandwagon for the True Blue fans like Kevin. He speaks with emotion and allows any and all comments to be posted including the ones from random morons
