It took me a while to think about the different sides of this trade and ultimately I do side with Presti and his decision.  Harden had preached sacrifice, dynasty and friendship over and over but when it came down to it, he didn't follow through.  I don't see the $55.5 offer as "Why wouldn't the Thunder just do $60?", I see it more as "Why wouldn't Harden take that and meet the team part way?"  Harden, while crucial, was the third best player on the team and did not fully deserve to be paid like Durant and Westbrook.  I think this trade falls on Harden's personal interests and priorities more than anything else.  The $55.5 offer was probably a tad higher than Presti would have preferred to go but he tried working with James for the sake of the team.

I am disappointed to see Harden go and disappointed in Harden personally but I place this trade on him as he left the team with little choice but to trade him, in my opinion.

Can I just say that I love the design of Daily Thunder.  I try to frequent Charlotte's page as I like to support my local team as well but with such a terrible site, I find it hard to even read the articles or even want to comment.  So hats off for the great look and design of Daily Thunder.

For me it's this simple; there's no denying how great of a basketball player LeBron James is.  Durant wants to be the best and as fans, we want our guys getting better.  Training alongside LeBron, I feel, gives Durant the best chance of improving and becoming even more well rounded.

I am just hoping we survive to get back to OKC where I feel we can win two straight if need be.  But it starts with stealing one on the road.

@Lost Ones Anytime we lose it falls in Westbrook.  It's like when the Heat lose and it falls on LeBron.

@ILikePancakes I actually think last night's foul was even more obvious.  I still remember that Utah game though and that bitter no-call.

Living near Charlotte and the Bobcats being my #2 team, this is the only place I'd be okay with seeing Harden go.  But I agree, I think Harden would happily take a bit less money to stay with this core than move elsewhere, like Charlotte.

I also agree that this game was one of Miami's better games and you can find underlying encouragement by the past two games.  For example, if we come out with even an average first quarter, I like our chances. If we can dial up our first half defense to second half intensity as well, I like our chances.  I like our chances of taking at least one on the road but feel like two is still feasible.  We haven't clawed back in these two games for no reason.  We've done it because we are the better team.  We just need to play that way for more than 24 minutes.

While the non call hurts in a way that kept me up far later into the early morning that I would have liked but I agree, we shouldn't have put ourselves in a position where one call could determine the game.  The missed free throws, Thabo's blown fastbreak dunk, Harden's charge, the bogus goaltending call, the 400 offensive rebounds or blocked shots that stayed with the Heat --  all of that adds up.  One call hurts, yes, but we put ourselves in a position to where one call could determine the game.

@Thunderbuzzy It's hard to get people in foul trouble with the refs seem to look the other way whenever we are getting hacked.

@IlovetheWestbrookShow I didn't think it was a flagrant.  It was a good hard, playoff foul that was called a flagrant based on Thabo's tumble and on Metta's reputation.  That being said, I didn't mind the call because it gave us a nice swing to close the half.

My favorite part of the night was when the announcer (Miller, I think) started running down the list of clutch plays from KD just in this post season alone and the list just kept going and going and going.  I had a laugh that said "This is the greatest list ever compiled."

If you ask me, the Thunder are still up 2-0. The refs won this game tonight.

@andyworcester Do you need to buy Thunder Alley tickets?  I live in NC and been following the Thunder since the move but have never been to a playoff game.  I figure in the event I come out this year Thunder Alley may be a more financially practical idea.
