Moffat, why do you sound so thrilled about the satanic part?  ......So THAT's how you got to produce two shows!

I was hoping Series 8 would premiere before I got sucked back into my academic tedium. Can't win 'em all, I guess.

The first episode of Series 8 is "Deep Breath"? Gonna have to hold it 'til the 23rd of August.

11 used to be the Man who Forgets until he changed. Now he's the man who remembers. Clara's statement "Run, you clever boy, and remember" took on a whole new meaning with the survival of Gallifrey.

This is a writer who has ideas going back to the days of Usenet posts. I wonder if he has a flowchart, too. He's the Andrew Cartmel of the 2010's. The Moffat Masterplan is rolling...

Eccleston was in his 40's. Why must everyone skip Nine?

@Temporal_Tomato It is EXACTLY what I have imagined for the Eighth Doctor down to a "T". Now all we need is a War Doctor sequence!

I strongly enjoyed Miracle Day. However, I couldn't help but think it felt too disconnected from the Doctor Who universe, because if you try to apply this series of Torchwood in terms of where it should fall in line with DW, Amy, Rory, and the Doctor somehow were untouched by the events of Miracle Day during Series 6, while Earth was unusually peaceful in their neck of the woods. But what really bugs me is the open-ended finale. Miracle Day gave us a glaring sequel hook (as did series 2 with Gray, despite the Hub blowing up- we never knew where his body really ended up or if Jack even sent him to the cold storage). At least give us a fifth series that can act as a grand finale- don't leave us hanging, because all those unsolved questions can gnaw at you after a while. And fanfiction does not provide a suitable way of dealing with them.

If Evelyn Smithe had been introduced in the TV era, it would have done wonders to salvage the Sixth Doctor. I am still waiting for a PROPER regeneration story in audio or televised format. I refuse to accept "Time and the Rani" as such- a "bang on the head" is a disgustingly idiotic demise for Colin's Doctor.

@Meh Meh Meh Meh Meh I like that. It'd be a homage to way things were done with the first season of the First Doctor.

Wow. John Hurt is at the bottom of the list of favourite Doctors. I understand he doesn't have much notoriety or legacy as the other Doctors because he was only around for 3 episodes and 1 full story. And just because  his incarnation wasn't actually calling himself the Doctor doesn't mean he should be counted out when considering a favourite Doctor. Hurt's incarnation lived out the Time War, for pity's sake! Though the War Doctor is built on a lot of unseen adventures, it would have been nice if he had more than a piddly 0.68% to his name. Sorely under-appreciated. He became a quick favourite for me.
