I think if they focus their efforts on a couple devices in each range (low/mid/high) instead of shooting off designs at the hip every few months, that would help them out drastically. Stop releasing phones all year round and focus on creating great products in each category. THEN support them well with software updates and new features that keep customers coming back for more.

I begin to worry about Google giving Samsung so much love and attention. I wonder if it will begin to be seen as favoritism from other manufacturers. Why not HTC or ASUS (especially if it's a tablet?) or anyone else? Nothing against Samsung specifically, but 2 Nexus devices already and now this potentially?
