Well, I was only 27 pts. or so off....OKC was sharp of off their rest...and the Lakes have no one to blame but themselves for letting Denver extend the series, and make them lose much needed rest....but I don't think rest would have helped them. I was really surprised how precise OKC was after the layoff.....given their relative inexperience in the situation....good team...with great things ahead if the status quo holds....this series will be a home-and-home affair...I hate to see my guys lose like that, but it's the norm with them when they play good teams on the road...either they get blown, or they win it close.....no in the middle.....but the very worst thing is that they didn't beat the spread...on that count, thank goodness for philly....

....game 2 wednesday....I expect a closer game, but pretty much the same outcome...OKC 101   LAL 94

enjoy it while you can Thunder fans....and remember.....the key is to not get too high...or get to low....the only constant is "change".

@Thunderbuzzy  @BRY BRY actaully, real laker fans know that if harden had been playing, we would not have won that game...

@Thunderbuzzy  @Percolate ...no, if you look at the tape from the time artest slams, harden was not going to try and inbound the ball...his motion onto artest was deliberate....but I agree...the action was too much and over the top...we can never know his intent, but my guess is that artest was trying to make james "feel" him...he;s lucky he did not hurt him more seriously to the point where he would have to have to deal with a whole different set of circumstances....it's been cool...clocking out...going home....open a cold one...and enjoy some philly/boston appetizer before the man event....enjoy fellas....I think I will.

@BRY BRY ...which is to my pont...if the Lakers do not perceive you as a legit threat, they coast...they float....but when they do...the are like the hulk inside...."smash"...you have to remember, this is a team that has won rings...they think they know how much energy they can expend, and when they can, to maximize a game, and minimize effort....they do not play the regular season the same as most teams...and especially not as hard as up and comers like OKC...this is what we know here...this is why we don't fret regular season sloth, and playoff laziness agaisnt lesser opponents...they did it against dallas last year, so they won't do it again...you'll see...the team you saw these last 70 games or so, will not be the team you will see for this series...

@Percolate  @theringsthething ...well, you may not like my answer P....I saw the whole play....metta did his thing, and it seemed to me that james purposely ran into him, arm crossed against his chest for protection, in an attempt at disruption, aggravation, and gamesmanship...and that's well and good....part of the game...I do think that metta's response may have been a little to harsh, especially since he was so obvious about it, but it it reminds me of another time and place....80's...90's....when players didn't roll around on the ground for 20 minutes because they got slapped across the face....don't get me wrong....james was very lucky he was not more seriosly hurt....but as a true fan, and a past participant of organized sport....if the guantlet of any type is thrown down....mentally or physically on the field of play, you don't answer with "like" force....you answer with response that will end the confrontation...negate the opponents challenge...and gives you the advantage....and if what I saw was the other way around, I would feel the same way...

@BRY BRY A lot about the Lakes defending OKC...but nothing on the other end...if, and I will admit, the "if" is larger than I would like it to be....Gasol & Bynum play up to their potential on both ends, we will control the pace like Game 1 against Denver...that game was a perfect Laker game....it's a simple as that...as simple as the last Laker series.....whoever controls the pace...the style of play...will win....perimeter, sped and athleticism....versus size, power, and execution....

@BRY BRY The Thunder, for the most part are a perimeter team....outside shooting is a very precise skill...and they are good at it....but not doing it for 10 days, and we both know practice does not count, will, in my estimation, effect them just enough for us to take advantage....the more they miss, the more the pressure rises, because after all, everyone from Adonyl to Zydrunas, picked them to win the west.

Hey OKC fans...got here thru ESPN LAL vs. OKC link....I'm glad that you all are in great anticipation of the game tonite and the series....we here in LA, on the other hand, are very trepiditious.....no matter what you may think, the real laker fans are very realistic and knowledgable about the team....and we are always leery of a playoff opponent, because we know our boys can often make things harder on themselves due to arrogance and complacency....unfortunately, your team does not allow them that luxury, so there will be no excuses...the thunder will get the lakes full attention, and all they have....we will see if it's enough...tonite....LAL 97...OKC 95...have fun.
