is it too early to think about how the dodgers' rotation will stack up in the playoffs?
12 months ago on Your Worst Nightmare: Brian Wilson, Dodger?
born in 92, still have no idea what even seeing the Dodgers in a World Series is like

@Lobo we're like the anti-Pirates!
1 year, 9 months ago on Rockies @ Dodgers September 28, 2012: Francis vs Kershaw
2 consecutive years of being over .500 and 6 of the last 7. So at least that's going for us.
@KungFu Panza Mike Trout?
so the last two games I've gone to were 2-1 losses where the dodgers teased in the 9th

@CodeBlueICU @DodgersKingsoftheGalaxy How could you possibly be a Niner and a Dodger fan?
@JustinDrummond @Saber Kid #293.2 no hablo ingles (or was that sammy sosa)
@CodeBlueICU @DBrim nope, does that mean I've had enough gin?
@CodeBlueICU yeah, something like that. Just attach some numbers and imagine up some hypothetical situations. Also make sure everything is a perfect circle.
@CodeBlueICU You could probably derive a good deal of mechanics from just that.
@CodeBlueICU but all the theorems make so much sense with alcohol...
@CodeBlueICU @KungFu Panza I'm a math/physics student and I need all the alcohol I can get.
@CodeBlueICU Must be an interesting tale.
@CodeBlueICU Fortunately, it worked out well for us. China is now capitalist and lucky for us, we were able to reap the benefits and move to the good ol' USA.
@CodeBlueICU Chances are good with only a billion Chinese in the world.
@CodeBlueICU My grandfather is an ethnic Chinese from Vietnam from a rich family. He was sent to school in Hong Kong, but went to China during the Cultural Revolution because he loved Communism. So he joined and they took all his money. When the Communists took over Vietnam, his family lost all its money too.
Interesting article. I had always thought Vietnam was completely dependent on the Chinese economy.
@CodeBlueICU meeting up with people from the internet sounds terrifying
@KungFu Panza @CodeBlueICU gin and tonic for a quiet friday
@CodeBlueICU Chinese but I learned how to make pho and banh mi!
@CodeBlueICU I don't even know viet and I miss them
@Tangled Up In Blue why would dodger fans own giants paraphernalia?

@el serracho @Dang88 we can DFA Uribe then
1 year, 11 months ago on What Can Josh Beckett Provide the Dodgers?
@phattonez7 Gaps are smaller because of the symmetry.
1 year, 11 months ago on Marlins @ Dodgers August 26, 2012: Vin!
@phattonez7 Dodger Stadium really really restricts doubles and triples because of the gaps though. What does it look like if you factor that part in?
@Dang88 Get him and DFA Uribe. Gogogo.
@phattonez7 @VietnamDodger look at a guy like Brandon Morrow. He strikes out a ton of batters but gets hit a ton before this year. Then he lowered his strikeouts and he's pitching better.

@VietnamDodger The Dodgers have the worst OPS in the NL and only second to Seattle in the day.
Splits are fun.
2 years ago on Powerful Middle Infield Duo of Luis Cruz & Mark Ellis Back Chad Billingsley
@VietnamDodger He subscribes to the Andre Ethier theory of hitting.
@VietnamDodger Mark Ellis is only hitting .211/.323/.246 against righties for a terrible .569 OPS. I had no idea a guy who seemed like he was hitting alright against righties was so bad.
@VietnamDodger I think I made that intentionally convoluted.
Matt Kemp against RHP: .930 OPS
Mark against LHP: .993 OPS
@VietnamDodger He's basically Matt Kemp against righties against lefties.
@VietnamDodger LHP/RHP seems most extreme.
I didn't realize Mark Ellis' ridiculous splits until now.
I don't think you're understanding "regression". If Belisario (or any pitcher's) expected long run BABIP is .300, and currently his BABIP is .200, it's not that we're expecting .400 BABIP the rest of the way. We're still expecting .300.
