Cool and hyper fun build but so little rear tire means this is just silly isn't it? I could roast wider setups of high performance tires with a stock'ish LS1T56 powered FC rx7.  I mean I like this but I guess I wish there was more supersonic grip in the mix here.

@AGR  the use of pushrods keeps the weight down low and more centered inside the block compared to an OHC motor, there are a lot of benefits explored and exploited to good use on the LS series... the plastic intake manifold saves weight, using just one single cam saves weight, etc.

@Brad_S  did you know the LSseries is all metric?  I learned a lot about them during my LS1 FC rx7 swap, the LS engines are great.

@NicholasMaher  hey I get your drift about the writing style on this piece but have to disagree on the wheels issue you bring up, the FACE of the wheel is concave and that's been a current trend of the last decade, much like the 17x9.5 5zigen FN01Rc's I had on my 2nd gen rx7, people used to balk they weren't totally concave since they tucked back into the wheel center at the barrel but come on that's nitpicking and you should be more tolerant of that stuff in a big piece like this.  Cool car, great pics, I'm sick of Vossen everything here but hey money makes the world go 'round.

I'm a fan of widebodies to get some big beeft 335's out back and even then maybe push them out a bit more but this just looks completely absurd.  Some of the commenters are right on the money - boso style all the way in that render and I think its hideous UNLESS you go all in and rock every boso trick in the book.

@magnus walker that's the spirit of the build that we love and I did similar with an LS1 T56 RX7 build, it was a riot under 10grand.  I guess we'll have to guess your total cost being around 25grand to let my brain rest and move on with other worries in life.  I would LOVE to see all of the big time car builders at least ONCE do a budget build like this just to have one in their arsenal and to represent what can be done by the average Joe with a little hard work and a lot of digging for parts.

@Captain Obvious @Kevski Style No doubt we would all love to know even some range, did he nail the target here or was he able to pull this one off super cheap?  Cool car and its so refreshing to see a 911 built on a budget with fun in mind!

Such a totally beautiful car and one of the nicest FC's I have ever laid eyes on.  I am a big fan of 17" or 18" wheels on these but its probably my only knock on this build.  Cool to see a 20bFC since there have been so many LS1 features lately, although I am an LS1T56 kinda guy.  Once again just a gorgeous car, wicked color and setup, what a real jewel.

YES yes and yeaaaaaaaugh this one hits all of the right buttons.  Great shape, smart design and intent, good choices for gadgets and gizmos plus the car looks terrific.  Almost something Dodge-esque about it, in a way that is good, for being different and small/tight/taut. As an FC RX7 lover I cant stop seeing Panspeed overfender buldges in this design and I like it here, anyone else?  Well done Kia, its about time you had a car like this.  I am sure a lot of people wont like it but I sure do.

Gimme a break, the items you can't see like where the cage is anchored to the chassis will be more important than if its a bolted together cage vs welded. Too many builders use the bare minimum plates sandwiching the chassis floor ending up with a cage that can't survive a rollover as it just drops thru the floor or wheel well. No need to bash the cage here, you can't know enough by the pics.Awesome car and pics, I love it! Nicely fine, this is a prime example of why speedhunters is always my top choice for web content!

Think of the CROWN, let the Crown live on!  Don't sidestep your big plans with a moneypit of a Supra project. Its not like all of the parts you'd want to build that Supra with will come cheap or anytime soon.  Stick with the plan man and complete the Crown.

BAD ASS and right on the money for what we needed from Nissan.  Something retro but also futuristic, something small but in big modern proportions. Total home run with the pair of IDx cars!  Cool to see the tuned version come together so well and the pedestrian version hold its own.  I can see Nissan selling millions of these globally with the right pricing and good powertrains in them.

Oooooh dat E320 benz wagon! So sexy on those wheels! I love mine but its all stock, their interiors are just fantastic too, great cars, cool to see that car pictured, seen it on some forums, its owner is a big help to the community too. Also, that pic of the FD RX7 next to the FRS, wtf, the FRS is big in comparison, so how does that work? Was the FD truly that small? Are new cars freaking enormous? Both? Because Ive heard complaints that the FRS is too small and too cramped and too low, etc. But seeing it next to that FD, holy crap thats hilarious, the FRS looks big! Awesome pics, its always fun to scan the parking lots.
