I think its interesting, and I totally agree with the idea that clearing a hurdle can take the energy out of you (or the raid team). In T11, we got our first Nefarian killed towards the end of our first night of the week. We didn't raid the next night at all. We were emotionally drained (we had been working on him for about 6 weeks). It ended up being a good thing for us. The next week we cleared TotFW and started on Cho'gall. Best decision I've ever made as raid leader.
