This has everything to do with Richards. I can just feel it. I still don't understand him throwing Hagelin under the bus during the playoffs. I really think he made a mistake and he knows it; I wouldn't be surprised if he apologized for that comment to the locker room. The thing is, Richards is headed for a buyout and I don't think Torts wanted any part of that, so instead of quitting, he was professional and was fired.

That's all great. But no. It's over. Ditch that pompous and cocky nickname, stop getting angry after losses, and grow up. It's time.
By the way, I know he's an incredible goalie and those stats are impressive for sure, but he needs to earn that final crown, then he'll be the king and that Gould be motivation enough. Until then, he isn't the king of anything.

Hey guys - sorry to be a downer here. Here's my take on changing the culture of the Rangers. Stop calling or referring Henrik the King. He is not the king. He has not proven himself to be the king. He is coming off as arrogant and not like he has been there before. The "King" is simply a marketing strategy and it's time to let that go. Enough already. And yes I am fully aware if it was not for Lundqvist, the team wouldn't have it's success that it has had, but King Henrik needs to stop. It's time to grow up. Ditch the name. It's over. Enough talking and pompous nicknames. Time to nut up or shut up.

Games not over yet. But I officially think MDZ is one of the worst ranger defensemen hockey players I've had to watch since Roman Hamrlik and Michael Rozival. Get rid of him.
Don't give up hope. Lets get this boys!
I don't care what anybody says. You don't come out tomorrow and celebrate this team and being a NYR fan, then don't bother showing up next season. Don't get psyched out, Rangers have been closer than people think; I have faith in these guys. See you tomorrow.

@JustinRP37 He called out the team. He was too emotional after a game 1 loss. Keep your emotions in check and get in their heads.
@jmacwilli I definitely agree about your logic with the PP
Dorsett knows its a series
Wow. The Bruins play a boring game but they are getting it done
Let's get a goal
This is a game you wish the rest of the team could bail Hank out, as he has done so many times for the rest of them.
Whoa, there's only 10 mins left in the 3rd? Where'd the time go?
@Josh6 I agree.. he's looking more of the Zucc from last year... I still think he can be used well on the PP
@IcyCup Agreed. Torts has to adjust.. Zucc not playing well, take him off that top line.
Just a deflating goal, but they have to bounce back
@Josh6 I see that. Rangers are outplaying Bruins, PP is starting to show some life, Chara hasn't played perfect. Hank needs to stone them in the third.
Cally could have gotten called there, so I say just leave it at that
@Josh6 @Dminches Agreed.
Oh man, I don't even know what just happened there but wow
@PenaltySh0t a good effort?
Way to go Pierre to jinx all that
@NYR44 @Dminches Maybe he's picking up slack for the inexperienced D, it's getting to him, can't solely contain Nash, whatever the reason
@Dminches Outhitting Boston. I like this strategy
Nice hit by Kreider on Chara
Nash lookin good, better than "BIG Z"
@IcyCup Han Dorsett
4 on 4
Way to go Boyle Line, play in front of the net
beats Chara and Rask
@McPhee37 I think he deserves it.
@McPhee37 Get Newbury in
Richards lost his man
@Josh6 He's gotta go to the net.. still haven't tested Rask ... i guess good presence by Chara
@Dminches I do like the hard work, in particular the Boyle line, but eventually they need to get control of the puck and get the point involved or go to the net
@Josh6 @thecaptain I like Girardi out there... he was excellent for us last year in the playoffs scoring points, good defensive awareness, he's good on the blue line... They need a QB, he's good on the blue-line, isn't that a QB's job? His shot isn't too bad, he does have one of our PP goals this postseason
@Josh6 @thecaptain and Eminger
@Josh6 @thecaptain I was thinking the same as DelZ, that wrist shot that Girardi has perfected from the point, its just wasted.
Players we have yet to see on the PP?
McDonagh, Hagelin, Dorsett, Asham
@Dminches I think the area the Rangers need to focus on is the front of the net. Nothing clever. The front of the net.
I liked Richards and Stralman on the PP, with Zucc Boyle and Kreider... wouldn't mind seeing Brass in place of Zucc or Kreider. Gotta admit, Boyle has been poised and a presence in front. Keep him on. I like Stralman cause he's playing great defense and has the offense in his game. Also, Richards seemed to calm things down out there.
I still think some of the Rangers forwards can't handle the point as well as two defensemen can, so why not Girardi/DelZotto. I mean, I don't know? It's the coaches that need to fix this, they have the personnel.
good luck by #6 but thats gotta be on net!
@Hotfreak @thecaptain Bruins had more PK shots than Rangers had PP shots
I still say Asham on the point for the PP. Dude can shoot and it can't get much worse!
@NYR44 @Josh6 I was going to suggest Krieder, Brassard, Nash - Having Zucc, its too many passers not enough shooters... or just take Krieder out of the line-up.
A little off topic, but anyone notice how dated Boston's music selection is? It's like that awkward punk emo phase from 2003-2007
