@3Mayday3 @Danny H ya i realized that when I looked at the screen. Before I understood the context, I thought it was a hilarious comment.
Was listening to Orioles announcer while working on something else and not really paying attention. Overheard "Uribe in at third base.......why?"
I guess the context was important there.
@WBBsAs That was my thought pretty much. A reasonable punishment would be 1 month suspension and also Dodger games for the rest of the year.
@VietnamDodger and then I will say hello to you both (I live in a apartment above Mitchell's)
@VietnamDodger M.edical S.chool T.eaching I.nitiative... I wonder if they have a website? Should I try msti.co?
I feel like Boston is going to throw in $100 million. And if that's true, I like the deal. The next 3-4 years is the dodgers time to go for it. You have Kemp in his prime, Kershaw in his prime, Hanley in his hopefully return to prime, and some very good years from A Gon. Rubby, ya I love him, but he's still a big unknown. You never know. Same with Webster. We overvalue Sands because we know him (not saying he's bad, just that we overvalue him). Ya, its a big risk, but in my opinion one that was worth the shot.
@JackedNate "you just... write it off!" ~ Kramer
@Dang88 I'm actually happy for Sands. He was going nowhere with the Dodgers. Mattingly wouldn't play him, and with Puig in the system not sure Sands was in the Dodger's plans. Hopefully Boston will give him the chance to succeed.
@MFYG Rubby. I see him as a solid #2. Lee could be anywhere between #1 and #3 starter, and could be a bust also.
If its just Ruby, Sands, De Jesus, and Loney, I like the deal if Boston eats some $$$. Throw in Lee or Webster and ... ouch.
If I'm the Cubs, I make Soriano a part of a Dempster deal to the Dodgers. Yes, they will get less value in prospects, but they move a really expensive contract off the books. Not that I agree the Dodgers should do this, I just see why Ned would).
"Then again, the way this team has hit in Oakland, who would want to watch anyway?"
Was very excited to attend two games in a row. Got the best seats of my life at reasonable prices for once (all I can afford is the bleachers at the phone booth). Team is looking good heading into the series. Magic season so far. Have high expectations...
Result: 5 hits, 1 misplayed run in 18 innings and some of the most boring baseball we've played all year.
That's who "wanted" to watch them, Mike, that's who. :(
If I had these exact players to work with, my preferred line-up would have been:
Gwynn
M Ellis
Ethier
A Ellis
Abreu
Loney
Gordon
Harang

@EephusBlue Definitely going to 2. Hoping to take a half day and go to the Thursday day game.
@EephusBlue SF. border of Mission District/Bernal Heights
@Mike Petriello Come to SF. It is a fantastic city, although pricey (absolutely exploding right now in some areas because of the tech boom). I'll be the first to buy you a beer here if you do, figure I owe you something as MSTI have been my on morning blog reading list everyday for the last two years.
