@kefkah I wish they would have too, but that's mostly because I've hardly had any time for Halloween at all. I know, I know, I'm a greedy sonufhagun over here!
Hmm, I guess I was hoping for something along the lines of what Blizzard does for each expansion. Say what you will about WoW, their cinematic team is top-notch.
If I were a person who didn't know what Guild Wars 2 was and I stumbled across this...I wouldn't even know it was an MMO.
"Updated the Engineer’s Firearms trait – Juggernaut. New text for the trait: You gain 200 Toughness while wielding a Flamethrower. In addition, gain might for 15 seconds every 3 seconds, as long as you remain in this weapon kit"
An interesting change for Engineers. I think I would've preferred keeping stability, but losing the 50% slow is nothing to sneeze at! I wonder if these stability nerfs were due to a large number of players taking them for sPvP?
@GJevon I think they know that they'll be alright for profit in the long run and are trying to focus on making player's experiences as smooth as possible. That'll ensure happy players and in extension future profits!
Now that launch has rolled around I've really been wanting to try a Juggernaut Engineer in sPvP.
"The Juggerneer (noun) - a flame-spitting boulder. He is the unstoppable force AND the immovable object."
I'm not sure I like that whole "create a new character to get a new stone" thing. With less character slots than there are professions I know I'll have all of mine filled. How will I get a stone then, I wonder?
@ArcherAvatar Because...well...Captain America, right?
@ArcherAvatar I agree. I can't imagine that the application of runes to the kits is too difficult, technically speaking. There must be something we're not thinking of balance-wise which is giving the devs pause.
@ArcherAvatar Honestly, I really have settled in on an Asura Elementalist and a Charr Engineer. The Asura are so quirky and entertaining, and I just cannot get over the Charr's sense of honor and duty (or sometimes purposeful lack thereof).
@JacobAbayahoudayan Race is a really important destinction, I think. A lot of people will pick the Asura because they're small, and therefore might get a slight advantage in sPvP for being harder to target. In the end though, if you don't enjoy the way that your little Asura hefts that big hammer around and if you don't giggle when he teeters forwards every time he stops, then maybe the Asura wasn't the race for you.
It's a tough choice.
@ArcherAvatar In the last BWE the grenades traveled faster, which I think is a step in the right direction. You're right though - even if you are just taking immersion, if nothing else, into account the grenades have a ludicrously small area of effect!
Yessssssssss.....
Now that I have...*puts on sunglasses* Wormed my way into your head...you will continue to second guess steal for all eternity!
Huzzah!
Really? I'm a whole 11 mins to launch! Mileage will vary.
@Ross I'll keep that in mind! Might be sooner than later too, as (Lesser) Glyph of Elementals abilities are rather useful for leveling.
@Lawrence_Growe A couple things:
1) If you're solo, Rifle works a little better than pistols, due to the extra crowd control.
2) Don't use turrets religiously while questing. Once you plop them down, they attack everything within their range, not just what you're attacking.
3) The new Mine skill is much better than the old Mine Kit, and offers better damage and crowd control for it's 18 second cooldown.
4) Use toolbelt skills whenever they're on cooldown. I had the Grenade Kit equipped just so I'd have the Grenade Barrage toolbelt skill! Elixir H's toolbelt skill is useful to land on yourself too, as well as the Mine skill that I described earlier.
Yeah, that guy you killed? That was Lawrence. No one liked him, he never bought the coffee filters when it was his turn.
