I'm not sure why so many people are worried about your sexuality. Love and let love. PS I just love that you called her My Sarah
Tell it Dan!!
Good for you Dan, I love your blog because of the funny posts and then the great convo after on the comments, but mostly because your writing to me seems like your authentic voice.
@Marya This doesn't sound like an unreasonable "instinctive worry" for his son. This sounds like clear, present and imminent danger to Noah. Who in their right mind is going to react "objectively and compassionately" when their small child's life is clearly at stake? One's "instinctive worry" for ones child is NEVER EVER "set aside". I'm sure the dog had his reasons for attacking, but so did Dan.
@dalvers63 I agree. They can't care for themselves let alone the dogs too which is probably why the aggression came about. But it's also much more complicated than that. I'm sure they loved those dogs and I'm sure having them put some light into their lives
@GabriellaRehbinder . What if Dan hadn't been fast enough and the dog had gotten Noah? A dog poses that kind of threat to a little kid and the father of that child needs anger management for protecting his child and cursing? This poor girl never should have been put in control of those dogs. I realize her family is in a bad way but they should have done the responsible thing before it came to this. I love my dogs like babies but I also respect that they are animals and need to be treated as such.
I love little kid voicemails! My nephew left one the other day. He said "Do you have belt?" click . It was so random
I think some people may have lost the point of this post. It's not about the author, or court, or your own mother or wife. It's about raising boys and the relationship between fathers and sons. It's so special, cherish it, treat it with the respect it deserves.
Wow what a great birthday post! It was so touching. I wish I could donate for these little angels but while I can't send money now I will send prayers.
