@RocketDawg You can't let the outcome on the field cloud your opinion of the overall subject.  If a dismissed kid can't go to an SEC school they go to the acc or pac 12 or another league.  Why would you have a rule that only hurt your product and made your competition's product better?

It may be good for the member institution and coach not to have to face a disciplined player again in conference play.  It would be bad for the SEC as a whole to exclude players that have been booted from one place. You could make a pretty good football squad with the players that have been booted from every team in the SEC.  I would rather have a talented person working for a different department than the competition.

Here is why all the texas talk is hogwash.  Look at the BCS standings coaching in the sec gives you a one game advantage over all other conf. No one is bemoaning Okie st to jump into the title game.  Next year they would be fighting to make the final four.  Any sec coach that goes to texas gives up that nice little cushion that has helped our conf win 7 straight titles.

Everyone in the media was ok to make the assumption that since Cam's father was offered money for cam to play at msu he took more to go to Auburn. Funny how no one in the media will make the assumption that since Nick Saban is a control freak he knows what is going on at his program.

Funny that it took a whole week to suspend him.  Why let him play in the 2nd half if that penalty was so bad?

I think the main talent difference between the two teams from last year was in the upperclassman.  At the time of the game Auburn was already checked out but look how many underclassman had to play for them last year.  Tubs final recruiting class and Chiz first one were awful.  However, Gus will reap the benefits of all the underclassman playing early.  8-4 with decent qb play.

Gus has never had a proven qb, so that's nothing new.  On paper he has more talent to work with then any year except 10. I'm pretty excited anything less than 8 wins would be dissapointing.

@PhilipKelly We were a bad team last year, no way to sugar coat it.  We didn't win a sec game, bad teams shouldn't win conf games.  Good teams beat bad teams all the time, avg teams beat bad teams most of the time.

When I hear the talk about the bottom of the league's record that says more to me about the top of the league not losing games it shouldn't.  Bob is an expert in that area.

I know they didn't fit the academic and cable viewership that the Sec was looking for.  But Louisville always felt to me like a better fit than Missouri in the last round of expansion.

And the cycle continues.  Article comes out anti-saban or alabama and within a few days an anti-auburn article comes out.  Auburn's usual response usually involves how bad the trees are doing.

how sad is basketball in the sec?  With the resources available to sec schools to not have at least 5-6 teams every year in the big dance is just shameful.  Perhaps with the new tv deal schools can reinvest into their basketball programs.

I love the Cam argument agaisnt Chizik. What if Miles didn't walk into a talented roster that Saban left? What if Danny Wonderful didn't play at UF? What if Colt McCoy doesn't get hurt? Chizik won a NC surviving the biggest media storm ever to hit a NC contender. How about a lil bit of credit.
