What are the most important things to take into consideration when setting up the spring rate and dampening for on a coilover system? Is it the Discipline of racing/motorsport you are building the car for?

I see alot of the MP4-12C in the interior. Not saying it's a bad thing, I can't wait till we start getting these at work...

A good 'ole fashion manual gearbox is obviously the most fun. BUT, every manufacture today seems to only be interested in going faster and faster. Which honestly you can't do in a manual car. There's a rhyme for every reason boys and the fact is Auto's with computers doing all the work are much much faster and much more efficient with things. Also, seeing as this is basically a watered down track car for the street you should be focused more on your lap times than how much fun you're having (Of course who wouldn't have a ball driving this anyways?). Blasting around a circuit in ANY car can be fun. Am I saddened by this move? Nope. It just means that the 911 has honestly become more focused of a car. But from the other side of things rev-matched downshifts with the 3rd peddle ARE bliss to anyone who loves driving and I could indeed miss that. If you just absolutely have to have a manual car what's wrong with a Miata? FR-S? BRZ? 370z? You've got your options. If you can afford a GT3 I'd also venture to say you could afford a little weekend/everyday manual car to hold onto the fun of a stick.

Tl;dr

This is a car meant to be on a track, so lap times are at the top of the list, it'd still be a blast to drive. So the auto-only option isn't all that big of a deal.

Voting for the AMC Javelin simply because my father had a 74 Javelin AMX. I miss that thing...It certainly had a good bit to do with my love for cars.

I love both the Impreza and the Evo,  but I loved Evo's even before I was into cars whatsoever. So that's where my vote goes. I haven't drove either though..../:

I voted forced induction, simply because I think turbos are absolutely awesome. But you really can't beat a well built engine that just screams power. Tough choice honestly.

I can understand the fact that it's hard to spot due to the odd shape. But like everyone else has been stating the 911 is clearly at fault by not keeeping his line and clearly going off track. It's a prototype car. It shouldn't be considered to dangerous till it's in its final and complete form. I'm glad that Nissan is staying strong with this new program.

I don't like Gittin but he sure as hell can drive. I'd love to see Saito win though. Or Aasbo!

I wasn't really a Vaughn Gittin Jr fan up until i read this. Talk about dedication to a great passion. It's inspiring. I figured he just was a lucky big sponsor baby but he worked for it
