@Taryn Croucher  You should also look up Shirley Muldowney, "The first lady of drag racing".  She was big back in the day in NHRA.  My mother used to do NHRA bracket racing her her Datsun Z, and Shirley was her hero!

@Speedhunters_Bryn Yes.  It doesnt matter if you become a car guy at the age of 5 or 60.  Once bitten by the car bug you're part of the global family.  He was one of us, no doubt.  I'm actually sad about this.  F&F came out when I was a freshman in high school, right about the same time my dad started teaching me about cars.

Thanks for having an open mind about the Mustang.  I grew up with Mustangs and I've always been sad about how much my generation seems to hate them even though most of them have never driven one.  It's a diverse platform with a lot to offer.  I'm thinking about getting a 66 convertible sometime in the next few years.  Sure, it wouldnt handle like a new M3 or go around a track like a GTR, but I'm sure it would be damn fun to drive on a nice summer day.

I do love how the scandinavians just smash together passion with a bit of insanity.  I think what i respect most about their scene is how they let their imaginations run wild, and dont care what other people may think about their car.

Cant please everyone I guess.  Personally, I really like 'real world' project cars and seeing what little tweaks people have done to customize them.  I've found the Speedhunter's project threads more interesting to look at and read than an article about a million dollar Bugatti that I cant even afford to sit in.  To each their own though.
