1 year, 7 months ago on Matt Flynn vs Terrelle Pryor: Who should the Raiders start?
Sio has great instincts and I believe he will develop better pass rushing skills the more he does it from the LOS with a hand in the dirt. He has the talent, the skills will come. He should be one of our starting LB's come the regular season.

Flynn seemed to struggle to move the team, like pulling teeth. Some say the fumble was the OL fault, maybe the play calling, being deep in your side of the field though, a fumble is the worst thing Flynn could have done. Romo took a heck of a shot from Sio and didn't fumble, just sayin. I like Pryor and the dual threat, ok, not so much duel, but he does break down a defense with his legs and threat to run. Both QB's could have done better, but Flynn's 37 yards was extremely disappointing. Would like to see Pryor get some time with the one's sometime during preseason. Also liked Olawale as RB,he looked good.

Robinson was supposed to be the steal of the lottery also, lets wait and see what Maclemore does.

Dont forget that Reggie will have the UDFA poole to go through and a CB or two can b had that way.
Chris, the Raiders have plent of CB's and RB's on the roster. No more of thos ewere needed. We had some real need on the OL and DL and LB postion. Nobody, who was left in the draft was "real" serious talent at that point. The only luxury pick was Criner, and that was apick that went against all Al Davis theories of speed for a WR. What you see as talent the other teams GM's werent to crazy about either or they wouldnt have lasted that long.
Well you may be right, I believe the hybrid was instituted in NE last year, so some tweaking to the overall scheme will be made. Besides the yardage given up by the NE defense, they were like the 12th in the league for TD's allowed. That is a very important stat. Players will excel when they are put into position to do so. Scheme has alot to do with personel. Put the right ones together and a good coach, then the wins may add up, like you said time will tell, but both Reggie and Bill have had success finding the right players more than not. Al could do it to until he got desparate for a SB then went against his better judgement and went crazy with the FA contracts and such. Then really started reaching in the draft for years. He did good the past couple and I feel Reggie did good in this last one. Expect the worst and hope for the best.
Bill Belichick is using the same "hybrid" defense and it will be perfected. Reggie and Dennis are gettinghe layers they want to run this type of defense. Belichick drafted Trevethan as a S for his team way earlier than wh mst "experts" would have taken him. Bill knew he was the type of playr he was looking for to play in his system. Same with the Raiders and Allen. Raiders will be fine.
