Sucky that today is the off day and then they gotta fly late night (although at least not redeye) to LA to take on the suddenly red-hot brewers instead of having NY series today through wed...little things like this catch me as just another way the BB Gods mess with a team....
@capnsparrow maybe, but none of the guys we have in house are appealing even a little bit...if gugenheimers hadn't dropped 230mil on payroll in an obvious attempt to win now (although poorly led by their inherited snakeskin-cowboy-boot-wearin' GM) then I would be all for just bringin Corey to the Show and seeing what we got, but we know that's not going to happen.....Cruz is NOT a ML 3B, HanRam might be best suited there now but ego and whatnot wont let that happen, so Rolen, even rolen just cashing a check, might be a good fit anyway....but that might just be my pipe dream....
5 GB in the standings even this early in the season is NOT acceptable for this team PERIOD, colorado pitching will NOT keep this up but AZ and SF aren't gonnna turn into a pumpkin tomorrow and we've already dropped series to BOTH....i'm disgusted and too passionate and I am smart enough to realize that 17 games does not a season make, but trends are trends and this team is trending DOWN!
@AnotherBrian really he should have started the season in the cleanup spot....the idea that he'll get more PA's battting one spot higher has never made all that much sense to me....the difference is like 20 PA's over the course of 100 games....
So any word on whether or not the admittedly less than ideal Scott Rolen is still available?

You know it's this kind of thing that has me worried we're going to get the same result from our overpaid superstars as the lakers have....injury to HanRam=injury to Pau...Crawford=Blake (injury wise and value to team if "on")....Kemp=Dwight Howard (when playing "right" an absolute BEAST, but still lingering issues from major off season surgery) Kershaw is Kobe....
@Dang88 @mixdr077 @capnsparrow I don't know, maybe it's because I've got 5 kids, maybe it's because i was in the friggin' 6th grae the last time the Dodgers won it all, but patience is a virtue that his literally been corkscrewed into my soul, so I was just preachin' a bit.... but for now I knida agree: Fuck Dee....
@dodgersdan I've actually thought since our outfield is relatively deep that they might as well put him in instructional league at the hot corner and see if anything sticks.....positive's and neegatives for that scenario though.... and unlike a video game, you cant just edit a player's defense to make them not suck....

@EephusBlue @Disgruntled Goat @DavePomerantz yeah post 35 starts to really suck physically even if you work out (takes twice as much work as before) hopefully the personal life is a strong one so you don't wallow terribly
@Dang88 Great topic....made me go back and look up old box scores....I discovered that the friday I was born was the middle game in a 3 game set with MTL in which the Dodgers got swept with 2 MTL pitchers throwing the full 9 inninigs and then on Sunday the Dodgers hosted the Mets for the 1st of a 2 game set.....man the schedule was wacky back then!!!!
@Dang88 in a side note, my dad took mom to the Hospital on way home but i wasn't born till the next morning 7/22/77 and when the hospital staff told him to home, He went to see Star Wars for the first time
