I prefer something reasonable.I don't mind if a phone is thicker than the alternative. But, I most certainly don't want anything like the Samsung Epic that came out.. I think there is more than enough room for a phone to be reasonably sized with a reasonably sized battery. We don't have to have extremes either way. If I were absolutely forced to pick between two extremes I'd probably go with a thinner phone because, I want something comfortable in my pocket. Still I think phones like the HTC One X/SIII prove you can get a reasonable balance.

Maybe I'm just a bit cynical but, what is the fuss all about.. there are already at least 2 or three great file explorer apps.. Just seems like there is better new to cover.. I mean heck this website is awesome http://mycolorscreen.com/mostviewed/?os=android and I've never heard anyone mention it.. I was lucky to find it by happenstance..

@Matlock I don't think anything is "owed" to me.I'm just tired of being told to "chill out" on the internet when the person telling me to chill out is making a bigger deal of me complaining than I made while complaining.I apologize for my post which I deleted realizing it was in bad taste hoping it wouldn't be seen. Let me just explain right now there is one thing that really sets me off, and that is people who chalk any and all complaints up to "you're full of yourself!" and "well you just think the world owes you something don't you?" Just because I think something sucks/disagrees with it doesn't automatically think I am entitled to anything. And there is absolutely no reason people making generalized assumptions about my personality based off of a complaint shouldn't be annoying.

I'm not paying 200$ to get an exclusive app even if I happened to have an upgrade to use onit..I most certainly will not pay 500$+ for a new phone to get an exclusive app.It sucks that Samsung isn't just letting it slide for those of us not on an SIII device :/ Especially since it just seems to be  using Vlingo anyway.. It still needed some fine tuning.. but, I actually had some hope for it.

@Lawless_1  @mbcls zzActually be careful with assumptions. Just because something is quad core doesn't mean it is faster. For that matter there are a lot of variables that determine speed that most customers won't understand in the first place. A dual core processor can outperform a quad core processor easily if it preforms more instructions per clock cycle. For a while, single core processors in computers were better than dual core processors simply because most software wasn't designed to handle dual core processors.. Then even after computers were optimized for dual cores, that didn't guarantee optimization for quad core processors. There are still many, many instances where dual cores will simply out perform quad cores both in benchmarks and real world performance. Truth be told, quad core processors in many ways are more about scamming customers.. selling them hardware that they will never see a serious benefit from.

If it is anything like AT&Ts shared texting plans.. then shared data won't come soon enough and should be embraced with open arms  :/I am so tired of all of this bullcrap where our data gets itemized. No matter WHAT you're doing on your phone you are using data in some way shape or form. You get "unlimited" mobile to mobile (Which uses data), you get "unlimited" text for 5 people for 30$(which uses data), and yet you have to pay 30$ a person for 3GB of data (on at&t). I think there has to be something more reasonable than that crap! I'll settle for "slower" 3g data only if I can get the crap for a reasonable price! I hate having to strictly monitor my usage to not go over my 200mb cap :/

@kanoneyez Having worked as a phone salesman, I've seen people sign two year contracts for phones that were basically "go phones" in terms of quality and being marked as "200$ off contract." Rather than just grabbing the 50$ go phone, people end up signing the contract where the company locks them in to a 2 year contract while over charging for their phone.I fear the same thing may happen in the tablet realm.  Why compete for more quality at a lower cost if people are willing to pay more (without realizing it)  because of subsidies? Now, we could just make the argument "if it is that bad of a deal don't buy it" but, unfortunately, the market is driven by the people who are the lowest common denominator.

I really hope this doesn't start encouraging the sale of tablets based on contracts..We need less contracts not more..If people start adopting tablets at lower prices from contracts, it could easily escalate prices easily... People don't think about the actual value of the device, they only see the contract price. It will encourage manufacturers to charge more over all per device so they have an excuse to sell it "on contract." which would be a load of crap and circumvent a lot of competition while slowing down the market in the long term..

This post just redeemed some of my faith in phone dog.As much as manufacturers take the rap for not updating phones.. people forget carriers suck.

I didn't think that the samsung nexus devices were bad. In fact I have the captivate which is sister to the nexus S.I just feel like it is a little to locked into one style now.. I believe changing it up regularly is better for android as a whole. Just opinion but, I like the variety and progression from when they switched once..

TBH it just doesn't look impressive.I would opt for the One X with snapdragon processor and be happy enough. We have reached a point where specs alone no longer impress me honestly. When I got my captivate I opted for it over atrix simply because I doubted whether or not dual core would affect performance at all. How, the One X dual core version has great benchmarks, real world performance and honestly just seems higher quality to me. It would be nice to see HTC make the next nexus device.
