why is it that a 458 cost three time more then a z06 or zr1 yet your not getting three time the performance.

@FunctionFirst @Wildcardfox im sorry to burst your bubble but every car over 50,000 is a mid life crisis buy because that particularly age group can afforf it. there aren't many 20 year olds walking around with that type of cash.
Thank You Speedhunter for being the media that post the positive about Paul. I've been reading about what happened or what they * think* happened saying he was street racing which i think is very disrespectful. Nobody was there but Paul and his homie so to say he died doing something irresponsible instead of calling it for what it was which was a accident. I really feel for his family especially his daughter.

@KeithCharvonia i agree. i thought the crx was very well executed photo and stlye wise.
the 911 has to be a great car to photograph because i have never seen a ugly picture of one. even with tacky modifications its hard to catch a 911 at a bad angle when taking pictures of it.

how in the hell do you get a japan only or any market only car in the states especially california and get it registered. i know its hard as hell but if there is a will there a way. what is the way because i want a s15 damn it. anybody know of a company that can help with that? also why is the silver supra for sale?
once again that zn6 is very impressive. indeed a attention getter. the scion tc you drift is dope too though but between the two which is harder to drift?

i always thought the r34 was a little lighter than 3700 pounds. i always thought it was like 3400 or 3500.so for a r35 to weigh in at only a hundred pounds more is impressive considering the changes they have made between the r34 & r35. wow learn something new everyday. this is a nice build. funny i never thought the day of 1000 hp builds would be normal. that turbo is a nice piece of work. good article once again.
that video was nice. i love that lumpy brap sh*t. good article, good car.

i understand why they are doing the slush box thing because a very low percentage purchase the manual tranny but not everyone has the time or even wants to go to the track so lap times are not that important to some. having fun driving to the grocery store or you favorite freeway ride home or back road a manual is no doubt much more fun. why cant we have both? make the manual on a made to order type basis and let the others worry about lap times.

jim made a comment that drifting wont be the next NASCAR. i disagree because NASCAR didnt get interesting until recently(still not interesting to me). They had to change there formula to get the attention they get now.Btw look how long it took to get to this point. drifting is naturally a exciting sport and compared to other motorsports its still a baby. Once its adopted as a American sport (which its not but lets pretend it is)and has drifting veterans commenting in booths (like a forty year old vaughn, mike, and frederic)and factory support it will eclipse NASCAR. I really believe my grandchildren will be watching drifting like how we watched other motorsports when we were kids. Which is cool in itself.

@japanophile25 that would be cool. maybe using the twin turbo v6 from the new cts in a sub 3,000 pound car would be nice.
@speedhunters_dino @Acc this is a pretty dope engine from what i see. i understand why drifting is swapping out the engines due to engines being sort of the style factor and attract attention to the car but im see also private owners (road racing wise)swapping them out too. if AVO Turboworld and HKS can get good hp numbers why swap out the fa20. now that you guys answered my question(thanks btw) i dont see the purpose of a swap fa20 swap especially road racing.

see i didn't know it used both port and direct injection system. i thought it was just direct injection only. interesting though on why they did they did that. did they add the port injection system for us tuners because of the lack of direct injection system options as far as fuel pumps and injector sizes. anyone knows the answer please chime in.
@FunctionFirst also i grew up in Los Angeles so im just speaking from my experience dealing with LAPD
1 year, 3 months ago on Usdm Mania: A Cressida In Japan?!
@FunctionFirst i hate to say it but there is some truth about the eco sh*t in SoCal. the police are quick to pull you over if you look like you have a engine swap. see in there eyes a cat back exhaust mean illegal engine swap which is crazy. if your cat back or even your canister is shiny watch out. i ve been pulled over in my Se-r many times and the first thing they did was popped my hood to catch me with a swap. i was told my exhaust was illegal thats why i was pulled which is b.s. and that i had a illegal engine meaning my sr20. after i stopped laughing at the cop i informed him that my 96 Se-r came with a sr20 from the factory and then i explained what cat back means. but it did weird me out that he even knew what a sr20 was. so i painted my exhaust flat black to avoid futher harassment and i fought those tickets. btw im not self absorbed.:|
ok dino great article as always. i have a few questions concerning the fuel system. are the injectors on direct injection engines the same as regular fuel injection injectors? reason i asked is because DI engines from what i have researched run extremely high fuel pressure and i assumed that a different injector design was needed to cope with the extra pressure. if the injectors differ from regular fuel injection did hks just simply blocked off the direct injection in favor of the more traditional mounting on the intake manifold or did they develope the own direct injection system?
@xIRISHx seriously 5 grand. thats a hell of a build for 5 grand. made me rethink how i approach a build. the under slung is the business

@weasel dont feel bad. my first gas car was a rc10gt then the touring car craze hit. then came the hpi rs4. the first one. way before drifting even thought of crossing over here in the usa. that gold alfa romero body was the shiz when i was into touring cars. but this is miles ahead of what is was doing as far as details go. as long as i had a low turn reedy motor and my 1600's charged i was happy.
