Belt and Posey both do that a lot i feel like. I think that's what happens when you get comfortable with the strike zone as they both are. The only difference is that Posey has the confidence in his ability to still do Buster Posey batting things even when in the two strike hole. Belt is starting to get there but for now i'll take the solid single up the middle instead of him staring at strike three and getting that dismayed look he gets.
Good win for the Giants though, now lets take the series!
I wonder if they'll just pull in more student workers (from places like JUMA) or have more student orgs from the local colleges pick up the slack as a fundraising opportunity. While I am sympathetic to what the workers are going for, I wonder if they realize how replaceable they are.
@Simon I wonder that too. I try not to put too much stock into any WBC worries though, some pretty compelling evidence that there isn't too much connection between injuries and WBC participation (unless you're Hanley Ramirez LOL)
If you take off Vogey's name and put in "Matt Cain," then you could make a pretty similar argument. Cain found a way to make it click together his last start and I'd say that Vogey can do the same. Vogey was pretty money during the WBC so its all still there. Let's let the SSS chicanery work itself out first before we start going all crazy in a tizzy over Vogey.
I'm going with Sandoval. He's been a consistent force through the first 30 some odd games so far and has had his moment with clutch hits as well.
While regression will definitely happen, i think the idea of Pagan having a career year is a little overblown. Yes he played a little over his head but we're not talking about a Huff-ian sudden resurgence only to come crashing back. Don't have the stats on hand (and too lazy to look them up at the moment) but from what i recall his lines last year were pretty comparable to where he has been in his career. The biggest issue would be if he can maintain a consistent approach rather than getting these crazy hot and cold streaks like he did last year. Ditto that for Blanco.
