i was told by someone to just take it off around the house. so when summertime came my daughter was 17 months and i just let her go bare bottom or panties. she trained in just a  couple weeks. i would however lay a diaper under her bum for car rides so she wouldn't soak the car seat if i couldn't pull over and find a toilet fast enough. i'm super excited to train my 17 month old son this summer.
