Finally got a chance to read this and I'm glad I did. Completely refreshing piece and should serve as a healthy reminder to manufacturers out there that driving is more than just gadgets, power figures, and 0-60 times. There was a time when overall driving experience counted for something and unfortunately, it has been lost on most modern cars. Great read and thanks for helping me keep the dream alive!

This is one of the greatest posts I've ever read and the photos are equally incredible. "In 2030, will someone be gripping the chain link fence at a vintage race, with goosebumps standing up on their neck, wide eyed and lost in nostalgia for a 2013 Toyota hybrid or electric race car as it whooshes silently by? The senses and emotions of a human being need to be handled roughly at times. We need to hear something, feel something, or see something in order for our memories to be impacted."This quote is poetry, and I couldn't agree more.

This has got to be some of my favorite coverage in Speedhunters history. Well done! As cars become more "electrified" and tame every day, I can't help but appreciate classics like these more and more.

"Piloting the car, I stared to wonder if any progress has been made at all in the past 20 years. Why don’t cars feel like this any more? With each passing year, they get fatter, heavier and surround the driver with all manner of computer aids. With each model upgrade, manufacturers have gradually removed the direct mechanical experience and replaced it with something more akin tothat of a virtual reality simulation of car driving. Safer yes, and perhaps faster, but also far more sterile."Absolutely brilliant sir. The whole piece is amazing, but I particularly loved that statement. Well done guys!
