Took the words right out of my mouth. *First bump*
Um, no.
$0.15 more per litre? Cry me a river.
964's are great visually, but are dynamically quite boring compared to 930's or 993's.
However, compared to most other performance cars, they're pretty amazing!
@Olaf16 .That's precisely why the Porsche and NIssan are in different leagues.
The 911 Turbo buyer isn't concerned with how much the car will cost them.
@Option86 The Turbo has been the 'GT" version of the 911 for the past few generations. If there's any version of the 911 that suits an automated manual, it's the Turbo.
If I could have any car, and money was no option, it would definitely be the Pagani Zonda R, which is very similar to this. Great photos.
I would still argue the 60's was the birthplace of the supercar thanks to the Ford GT40 and Lamborghini Miura.
Fantastic article nonetheless, one of the best I've read on Speedhunters.
@Dawsaurus Jaguar XJ220? Acura NSX? Porsche GT1?
Performance, Exclusivity and Desirability.
For the majority of people, an automated manual gearbox is exactly what they need to learn how to drive fast. It's arguably more difficult to focus on learning racing lines when you have three pedals and a shifter to worry about.
Where do the majority of racing stars get their start? Karting...see any clutch pedals on a kart? Didn't think so.
Since when was Speedhunters where Occupy Wall Street protestors started posting? Who cares about the kind of person that is behind the wheel. The fact that you're judging someone you've never met about the kind of car they drive on the street makes you no better than the people you're criticizing.
Grow up.
I think it's official; the Rocket Bunny ZN6 kit is played out. Nice car though.
I hate Chevy with a passion, but boy do I love the C2 Vette. I'll take a '67 with the L88 motor and side exhausts!
I definitely want to know about that '82 Camaro with the 540.
The fact that Christian Horner got on the team radio and told Sebastian that he'd had enough of his BS is a pretty strong indiciation of how 'in the wrong' Vettel was.
Outside of the driver vs. driver perspective, for a driver to risk two cars (aka millions of dollars) and a 1-2 finish for the team just because wants those extra points this early in the season is pretty arrogant no matter who you are.
I think the appropriate response would be for Red Bull to give Webber preferential treatment on the next upgrade package for the car.
For packaging purposes, a transaxle isn't particularly relevant for a mid-engined car.
You would look like a tool driving that on the street. Suitable for track days only.
Favourite. Hot Rod. Ever.
From the rear 3/4 view, I'd say that Celica is a blatant rip-off of a fastback Mustang from the 60's.
