Who is this Nash guy thats on our team?  I must have missed the news of Sather scoring a great under-the-radar signing.

Nash has been excellent - very surprisingly excellent - this season.  In the prior 2 seasons he was good, maybe above average, but nowhere near performing up to his $8 million paycheck.  This is the first time he has really looked like the superstar game-changer we have been waiting for.  Who knows if he will continue playing the way he has been but hopefully he will continue to put in the effort, drive to the net, and make smart plays.  Welcome to the Rangers, Rick!

Even with AdBlock and other ad-blocking programs, Livefyre sucks when there is a lot of activity.  And trying to join in late to a game...I usually close out after 5 minutes of waiting for the system to update 100 or more posts.

Side note: if you sign up for NHL GameCenter Live using a proxy (e.g. France), price will be $100 rather than $150.

I realize that every player is only one hit away from a career-ending concussion, shattered leg, or some other injury, but I am not at all excited about the idea of signing Staal to a lengthy contract.  $5.5-6 mil for 3-4 years is about as comfortable as I can get with him.

@JMK8363 I had Game Center last season and was pretty happy with it.  I dont have cable/satellite so GameCenter was the only way for me to watch games.  IIRC, the Rangers had about 10-12 nationally televised games or games in my region (I like in IA) which resulted in about 15% of the season having blackout dates.  In those cases, I found an HD stream online.  Im debating whether to sign up for GC again this season or just try to stream every game.

The NHL has different prices for the package depending on where in the world you live.  I saw some forum posts saying that Europe/UK pricing comes out to be about $100/season vs the $160 or so in the US.  Changing your IP address (through Tor, Hola, or other proxy services) to non-US/Canada when buying the package can get you the international price.  Then you can sign in and stream games normally without the proxy.  If I sign up again this year, I will be giving that strategy a try.

Kevin, I love ya (in a totally non-gay, non-prison kinda way.  Not that theres anything wrong with that) but this article sounds a lot like "everyone deserves a trophy just for playing."

Side note and topic suggestion for your next article: the recent celeb nude hacking scandal has at least one pic that is supposedly of Olivia Munn.  It is definitely NSFW and I havent seen any confirmation of whether it is real or not, but it is a yummy shot of whoever the woman is!

@Josh-CK Unfortunately the game is played at both ends of the ice.  We excel at one end but are only mediocre at the other.  If we could pick up an additional 0.25 goals per game, then we would be nearly unstoppable.

@Sniper Turcotte Because Torts is/was a one-trick pony who can't, or won't, adapt to changing situations.  That trick worked for a little while in NY and once it didnt, he never changed tactics.  He moved to Vancouver and his one trick never caught on and he failed to adjust his trick to the tools at his disposal, which is why he was subsequently fired for the 2nd time in two years.

Hank's masks are always so...boring. For as stylish as he is off the ice, his on-ice style is the complete opposite. Talbot, on the other hand, really shows style and personality with his mask designs. Hank...You can do better.

Between Cally, Boyle, and Stralman, they combine for what, 20 goals in a season?  We will be just fine without all three of them.

I'm so proud of the team for accomplishing what they did this season. I'm disappointed that we couldn't figure out how to hold on to 2-goal leads during the finals. You guys have been great and made the season even more enjoyable.

Ive been so disgusted with the outcome of Game 2 that I havent brought myself to read any of the articles published since then (except for here).  Someone pointed this out in another thread...the Kings lead the series 2-0 while having a scoring lead for exactly 0 seconds.  Zero.  Its infuriating.  Overall, I think we have shown that we are the better team by controlling 6-7 of the 9 periods of play.

Giving up so many 2-goal leads is unacceptable and is the only reason we are down in the series.  The guys need to pull their heads out of their asses and figure out how to protect - and expand - on leads.
