@Kellie BB creams are actually a German product, but never been popular as the blemish balm was invented by dr. christine schrammek way back in the late 1960s for her 'green peel' patients. so the bb cream was mostly known amongst schrammeks patiets, till today no one knows how the 'word' spread over to Asia, but the Koreans went crazy for this kind of product and developed the widest variety of BBs on the worls market. Sorry, but I had to mention it ;)

I go for the original! I only check out dupes if a favourite product is discontinued, unfortunately, I still haven't found dupes for the products I seek, like for example jest  my HG lipstick from mac

10 months, 4 weeks ago on Would you rather have the real thing or the cheaper dupe?

less is definitely more during summer season. I use biodermas pore refiner as a primer on my nose and cheek area, as most primers by cosmetic brand are too much for me. I have pretty dry skin, but because of sweating I fix my TM or BB cream with chanel translucent powder in the summer - it keeps the makeup at it's place without being drying. I dont use blush now as my cheeks are getting rosy from the heat but do a little bit of conturing with cliniques bronzing gel, which I think is discontinued now. Just a bit of smoke with mac rosemary&thyme liner around my eyes, mascara and I'm good to go.

If it's really hot during the day I avoid lipsticks and glosses and opt for carmex instead, as I am very lucky to have heavivly pigmented lips.

Defencils mascara 15 years ago, followed by a huge love for colour focus eyeshadows - now  15 years later I still use lancome's mascara but L'Extreme and hypnose precious cells insted of defencils

though I have prettz dry skin, I love both powder and cream blush, but I can't stand mineral blush(or powder) as it leaves my skin a flakey and dry mess

large dialated pores combined with dry and sesitive skin!!! I am not even impressed with the effects acid peels give me, but because of my sesitive skin, my derm forbid me to use stronger stuff :(

I was always keen on testing the shu uemura oil cleanser but since it isn"t available here and I didn't want to spend that much + shipping I decided to try a cheaper version first. I have pretty dry & sensitive skin in the winter, so sensitive that evven my beloved bioderma micellair solution irritates me (because of the cotton pad) and so I thought oil would be perfect, since I'm not a huge fan of cleansing milks.

I bought the sephora cleansing oil and now I am a convert - I JUST LOVE THIS STUFF!!!! I really breaks down the hardest make-up formulas and does not irritate the skin. I rinse it for quite a long time with water, use a toner afterwards and have no oily residues.

Of course right now in the heat of summer I prefer creamy gels, but on days I use waterproof mascara it always come in handy. Will definitely try other oil cleansers if I finish this bottle.

Biggest skin concern? dry, sensitive skin with large pores on the cheeks

Find a fix yet? not really, only things that help but don't fix completly

What’s helped (at least a little)? Acids, acids, acids! I get a series (2 appointments) almond-acid peels two times a year at my derm. Other then that my derm recommended me Bioderma's Sébium Pore Refiner, it's meant for oily and acne prone skin so I use it only every other day and it really makes my pores finer/less visible but unfortunatelly they are still there :( oh and besides that I use a glycolic-peel (15%) by SVR (a french pharmacy brand) 2-3 times a week.

glittery blush is an absolute no-go for me. It can be ok if you are in your teens but after that it looks tacky at least IMO. I think a sheen is ok, but chunky glitter not, plus it makes problems with your skin more visible.

I even use my sunscreen as a tinted moisturizer  during the summer :D I use la roche posay's anthelios xl 50 tinted sunscreen, so after I wasch my face in the moring and follow with a moisturizing toner I just apply the sunscreen and am good to go . . . or at least ready to start with my eye/lip/ cheek make- up. I use the cream formula and not the fluid as I have dry skin, otherwise I would need an additional regular moisturizer. I am pretty happy with this product as it gives me a nice tan and glowing finish ( unfortunatelly I can use this only during the summer because the color is too dark for me during the colder months). In the winter or cooler months I use a moisturizer with build in sunscreen, normally I do not "believe" in facial creams with spf but I use again la roche posay, it's the hydraphase UV moisturizer with a UVB and UVA Spf of 20 so I think it's working - at least I am stying extremly pale when I use this :)
